The guitar player in my band has sent me an archive of a song he has written.
It has Waveform's click set at 144 bpm.
He's a new user of this technology and has apparently started his song on beat three, as WF's click doesn't discern the 'one' as a different tone.
I can see where he's playing in time with the click in the song.
Is there a way to shift he timeline bar so it 'sits' over the recorded wave's correctly?
Or do I select the two clips and shift them to the correct alignment of the beats/bars timeline?
Align audio clip to timeline.

Shifting the timeline isn't possible in all daws I know of. You shift your content only.metrognome wrote: Sun May 17, 2020 8:51 am The guitar player in my band has sent me an archive of a song he has written.

How to achieve this in W11:
If there is silence in your stems, just trim your stems and move the whole track to bar 1. You can do that by using the selection tool: by holding alt on windows, you can lasso all stems at the beginning.
Now use the small arrows to the left on the clip bar to short the clips.
Then highlight all your stems by ctrl/cmd+a and move them to bar 1.
Personally I would arrange tracks starting at bar 9, because then you got room for a little intro (reverse effects, etc). To do that just highlight all stems, and move their audio to match the bar you would like to start the song.
Select all by ctrl/cmd +a. Drag and then hold cmd or ctrl will allow you to move stems without grid. You can disable the grid by hotkey q as well, you will see if the grid is active in your transport section, its called "snap".
Cheers

Thanks for your post astey. As you can see, I was awake most of the night and I did just that on my own..lol..old dogs can learn new tricks.
I also emailed him with instructions on how to set WF's click to play louder on the '1' which I just discovered.
