Apparently there are people using the downvote to register their feelings about a person, since what was posted was innocuous; and in some cases it looks like they’re following the person around avid to do so, like it took but a second after the post to appear. Not just per me.

Yeah. I won’t suffer fools very gladly, but I would want to be supportive. But there’re lots of people who seem like they trawl say youtube looking to negate. I remember when youtube quit registering downvotes in comments, FB doesn’t do a downvote, so I don’t know of any social media platform that promotes negating like this.
Bit surprised to see “likes”, let alone dislike as part of teh kvr experience. It’s just an observation, sociologically.
Doing things in order to gain approbation is far from it for me.
