Dear whom this may concern,

I am due to work on a collaboration with an artist using Ableton Live. However, I don't own it. As he owns a legitimate license and this is for a collaboration, please could you possibly send me a license (i.e a serial number which I can personally register).

Thanks

Hi there,

Thank you for contacting Ableton Support.

We hope for your understanding that we're unable to send you a license.

Feel free to purchase a Live license from our webshop: https://www.ableton.com/en/shop/

It's definitely worth it, no matter the reason. You don't have to get Suite. Maybe Standard version would do well for your case.

BTW, you can get it at a very good price, until tomorrow 20th, at Thomann's:

It's cute that you think collabing with another artist entitles you to a free copy of the software they paid for

Maybe the next email could be to Tesla? See if they'll give you a free car because you'll be using it to save the environment...

Is this the same guy who wanted a free copy of Nexus 3 for a collab? Here's some advice to get free stuff: become very famous first :P

I do my best not to comment the op, and I'll only answer the question.

Yes, it's totally worth it. Hunt for a second hand license if full price is too much.

Martin Garrix or Avicii (RIP) would disagree with you on that ;)

From this thread I concluded that Ableton has a great support and patience :)

It also makes me wonder, why many musicians are stingy and/or beggars?
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

My friend wants me to "face-time" with them on their Mac. I wrote to Apple explaining my situation and asked if I could have a free computer.

Guess what happened?
