Dear whom this may concern,
I am due to work on a collaboration with an artist using Ableton Live. However, I don't own it. As he owns a legitimate license and this is for a collaboration, please could you possibly send me a license (i.e a serial number which I can personally register).
Thanks

It's definitely worth it, no matter the reason. You don't have to get Suite. Maybe Standard version would do well for your case.
BTW, you can get it at a very good price, until tomorrow 20th, at Thomann's:

It's cute that you think collabing with another artist entitles you to a free copy of the software they paid for

I do my best not to comment the op, and I'll only answer the question.
Yes, it's totally worth it. Hunt for a second hand license if full price is too much.

From this thread I concluded that Ableton has a great support and patience
It also makes me wonder, why many musicians are stingy and/or beggars?
