Tracktion Waveform 11 OEM Podcast Template

I am trying to use the Podcast template for a project. When I delete the host clip and start recording, the new clip doesn't show up in the track. But when I switch to the projects tab it shows the audio file under recorded audio.

What am I doing wrong?

Can you check that punch record is disabled? (Near the play/stop transport buttons).
This was accidentally enabled in the template but we'll be disabling it by default in a future update.
