i would buy a second handed push 2, so you don't feel the pain of paying something new when the new one gets launched

I'd wait, because Ableton Live hasn't been updated in over a year and it's not too far fetched that they are working on MPE integration, which means they might as well launch it alongside a MPE capable Push 3 with an integrated Audio Interface or what not, which would explain why we haven't heard from Ableton for so long.
They're not that small of a company and they sure are working on something and I would be suprised if they didn't announce something between now and september.

MPE, the first thing the can do is poly aftertouch available in ableton itself, because... push 2 has poly aftertouch..Kinh wrote: Thu May 14, 2020 6:56 amMPE capable Push3? in what way?docbot wrote: Wed May 13, 2020 10:34 pm I'd wait, because Ableton Live hasn't been updated in over a year and it's not too far fetched that they are working on MPE integration, which means they might as well launch it alongside a MPE capable Push 3 with an integrated Audio Interface or what not, which would explain why we haven't heard from Ableton for so long.

and the touch fader, can also be used for expression.
hey i found something to make ableton sensitive for poly aftertouch... the patches for M4L, you must make yourself, it seems...

MPE recquires i very different approach, and midi 2.0 is coming, so... and MPE, sensel i have my eye on (when i have money, because i spent it on other stuff now..), not everyone gonna need it, or want it.
me thinks some people are already happy, that you can step sequence (i am one of them, although i can play the keyboard, but without any study or background...).

I just checked on my Push 2 and it doesn't seem like you can.

Ableton's upgrade process is slow. A year is nothing. There is nothing in Beta regarding MPE, so it's also not on the immediate horizon. It could be deep in the works, but I wouldn't hold your breath.docbot wrote: Wed May 13, 2020 10:34 pm I'd wait, because Ableton Live hasn't been updated in over a year and it's not too far fetched that they are working on MPE integration, which means they might as well launch it alongside a MPE capable Push 3 with an integrated Audio Interface or what not, which would explain why we haven't heard from Ableton for so long.

A used Push 2 is the best solution and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future.

Last beta was 10.1.13 nearly a month ago, and 10.1.14 has released since. I guess the next beta will be 10.2 so we might see some interesting new stuff in the pipeline?

Yeh, its been over a year since 10.1 (which to be fair was a great update) but other DAWS just seem to be moving forward faster. It feels like Live needs a pretty big update just to catch up.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!
