I was a Tracktion user from T3 to T7. I've been working mostly in Logic for the last 5 years. Moving back to PC and demoing DAWs to replace Logic. I edit audio to video often so this needs to be part of the workflow. I am familiar with the "Movies" panel but after choosing the video it does nothing . Clicking on "Show Video Window" also does nothing. The manual doesn't mention it and there are no videos to be found discussing it. What am I missing? I find it hard to believe no Waveform users work with video.

What video format are you using? Not all work well; and there may be some codecs required. I rarely use the video feature; but remember having issues; and .MP4 format was the one that worked easily...

Thanks for replying.. I saw your thread. It didn't really help. Having to install codecs seems to be so clunky. That's what I had to do 10 years ago. I didn't know that you still had to do that. Most are MP4. Logic and Studio One JUST WORK! I thought with Waveform being such a cool DAW and the fact that so many people work with video these days that it would have a better implementation. Maybe it does and I'm just missing something. I'll try to reach out to support.

Are you using Waveform Pro? That has much improved video support without the need to install codecs.

Waveform isn't really the best DAW for this, not even the Pro version.
One of the big limitations is that it is only capable of supporting stereo - no surround sound support.
It is a great DAW for general music production, which is what it is primarily optimized for, but falls a bit short when it comes to post audio work (granted that in some cases it can work just fine as long as you only need stereo sound support).
I would suggest using Waveform to create music to include in the soundtrack, then exporting the finished audio and doing the actual sync work with another DAW such as the Fairlight DAW built-in to Resolve, or Logic or Cubase for example.
