Ok this might be a real dumb question.
Is there a way to use the absolute time code marker to automatically stop play/record at the end of a song?

I.C. released a video about this topic the other day:
interesting for you might be at 1:16. There he is talking about timecode markers. Personally I don't know the answer.
Workround/General method:
You could set up a midi loop (virtual midi cable), set up midi clips with specific notes (for example c-2), you set up this note as midi controller in Waveform to start stop the recording.
