Not a chance, hehe. I just saw this now. Thanks, Tom.tomg wrote: The thread died so I though we were done.

no a.k., but I really like the patch '96tears,'... I think that's what it's called, and for some reason it just sounds so perfect... it's very poignant

It might be more useful for this or that with a different feature set but the point was to make an emulator. If I changed the way the synth engine worked it wouldn't replicate factory patches or sound like it does. Ergo it wouldn't be a very good p-600 emulator.Kriminal wrote:you're rather overly defensive arent you? I never said i hated it, i just pointed out a problem. If you cant take that on baord, you will fall with the other self righteous devs who tell ppl the same as you..'if you dont like it...blah blah'tomg wrote:If you hate it... Well then .. I told you so didn't I?
As it is, its no good to me with that 'feature'.

Me too... I was stunned when I dialed it in and it worked first time. This was one of the patches that confirmed the emulator was working correctly. It's so very, very close to the originalalabamian wrote:no a.k., but I really like the patch '96tears,'... I'll join the choir, excellent soundning synth.
And it's responding very nicely to what you do. Haven't had that fun creating sounds with any softsynth before.
Either they sound harsch digital or are not responding the way you expect.
p-600 is very smooth sounding.
Thanks.
Now I have to learn how to use the patches I saved to disk as fxp.
Can you replace what's on the menu?
I didn't find a way other than renaming. But how do you save and overwrite the existing ones?
Can several fxp be loaded and saved as fxb after that, creating favourite list of sounds?
I never found a tutorial on how to use these abilities.

Thanks for reviving the thread! I missed this synth. I just shut down my DAW for the night and saw this thread, I'll have to give it a spin tomorrow.
I also had a Six Track back in the day, I'm sure this will come in handy. One question, how different should this sound from the Pro-53, which I also own? Just curious, is it redundant?

More likely a P5. Even though the P600 sounds just like a P5 on many patches, comes with midi. Is tons more reliable and stable. It was never very popular.fractalism wrote:The preset "Ice Cream" sounds like some leadmelody in a 90's eurotrance tune....I think it's "Calling Doctor-feelgood" hahaa, did they use a P-600? sounds very close!
It actually comes programmed with many P5 patches. I've seen them go used for as little as $600 bucks on ebay. A P5 will bring three times that much.
Peace
