no a.k., but I really like the patch '96tears,'... I think that's what it's called, and for some reason it just sounds so perfect... it's very poignant

you're rather overly defensive arent you? I never said i hated it, i just pointed out a problem. If you cant take that on baord, you will fall with the other self righteous devs who tell ppl the same as you..'if you dont like it...blah blah'

As it is, its no good to me with that 'feature'.
It might be more useful for this or that with a different feature set but the point was to make an emulator. If I changed the way the synth engine worked it wouldn't replicate factory patches or sound like it does. Ergo it wouldn't be a very good p-600 emulator.

Peace

Me too... I was stunned when I dialed it in and it worked first time. This was one of the patches that confirmed the emulator was working correctly. It's so very, very close to the original :D

I'll join the choir, excellent soundning synth.

And it's responding very nicely to what you do. Haven't had that fun creating sounds with any softsynth before.

Either they sound harsch digital or are not responding the way you expect.

p-600 is very smooth sounding.

Thanks.

Now I have to learn how to use the patches I saved to disk as fxp.

Can you replace what's on the menu?

I didn't find a way other than renaming. But how do you save and overwrite the existing ones?

Can several fxp be loaded and saved as fxb after that, creating favourite list of sounds?

I never found a tutorial on how to use these abilities.

use tobybears 'mini-host' ...
allows you to save custom pre-sets , and collate them into banks ...

Thanks for reviving the thread! I missed this synth. I just shut down my DAW for the night and saw this thread, I'll have to give it a spin tomorrow.

I also had a Six Track back in the day, I'm sure this will come in handy. One question, how different should this sound from the Pro-53, which I also own? Just curious, is it redundant?
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

The preset "Ice Cream" sounds like some leadmelody in a 90's eurotrance tune....I think it's "Calling Doctor-feelgood" hahaa, did they use a P-600? sounds very close!

speaking of reviving, anybody here wants to revive the 'tarnce' thread? :hihi:
be part of the solution, not the problem

What?? This is back again. :D :D Well... you'll find that it works and sounds like a real Prophet. I spent a long time getting it just right. A LOT of people have told me they think it's the best prophet emulator ever. Very smooth and balanced. The best part, other than the sound is the ultra low low low cpu. It idles at less than 1% CPU on a slow machine. Enjoy

More likely a P5. Even though the P600 sounds just like a P5 on many patches, comes with midi. Is tons more reliable and stable. It was never very popular.
It actually comes programmed with many P5 patches. I've seen them go used for as little as $600 bucks on ebay. A P5 will bring three times that much.

Peace
