You guys were worrying me there for a second. I just picked up the Studio 3 to 4 upgrade for about $45 at AudioDeluxe. I actually have a spare Studio 3 license. For some reason it was cheaper to upgrade my editor version from 2 to 4 than my Studio 3 to 4 a few years ago. Probably a similar thing.
guess it's good I didn't get rid of it.

Great! So, did you just register it in your account by doing "Perform upgrade" and got V5 now? Just to close any open loop.dzilizzi wrote: Tue May 26, 2020 3:35 am You guys were worrying me there for a second. I just picked up the Studio 3 to 4 upgrade for about $45 at AudioDeluxe. Early bird got the worm there. Oh well, hopefully in 6 months or so there'll be a better upgrade deal for the rest of us.Ploki wrote: Tue May 26, 2020 9:00 am Shit that seems so unfair. Older version gets a 66% off upgrade discount

Regarding the "Samplitude Pro X4 Suite + Steinberg SpectraLayers Pro 6 for $149" deal posted in the "No Chat" thread, the company Magix looks fishy as hell. It has a bunch of bad reviews here: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.magix.com
I would totally jump on this deal if I could trust the seller, but I don't.

that is a good deal. but i am confused as hell. didn't Magix sell Spectral Layers to Steinberg? So is this an older Magix version they are bundling or they are partnering with Steinberg for this deal?Blaster wrote: Tue May 26, 2020 11:13 am Magix IS the developer of Samplitude (and a bunch of other music software)...

Magix have bundled 3rd party stuff with the Suite version before including iZotope.
Spectral Layers 6 is the current version so presumably you have to register it with Steinberg.
Dongle required according to some!

Yeah I'm guessing they are partnering with Steinberg after selling it to them lol. Just noticed someone was asking about it a few weeks back and then came across the deal. Magix Samplitude was the first real DAW I used and all I can remember was that it was frustrating as hell. But then again, I had 0 knowledge of what I was doing and it was at least 10 year ago!telecode wrote: Tue May 26, 2020 11:20 amthat is a good deal. but i am confused as hell. didn't Magix sell Spectral Layers to Steinberg? It is a trusted seller because indeed, it is the homepage of the company. They just have some mixed reviews lol. But if you are interested in SpectraLayers I'm assuming it will register with Steinberg.Dirtgrain wrote: Tue May 26, 2020 11:08 am Regarding the "Samplitude Pro X4 Suite + Steinberg SpectraLayers Pro 6 for $149" deal posted in the "No Chat" thread, the company Magix looks fishy as hell.
