Different fonts that don't even blend together and don't blend properly with the background. That's what I meant.
Also, everything is too big, which might look good on hardware but not on software.
I don't think it's a good reference for Viper.

I have problem with viper. When I reopened project, waveform is osc section was not loaded properly. For example: I loaded waveform ''Oct'' in osc1 section. When i reopen project: automatically loads waveform: ''Jelly''.
Or another example:
I loaded waveform ''FM1''. after reopen project - automatically loads waveform ''DigiSine''.
Or another example:

That in itself is a pretty insulting statement to make, don't you think?
In my informed opinion, he did a pretty good job considering this is all a one man show.

Then you are a little too sensitive.
The GUI is nice but I do wish it was multi-touch friendly! And that the waveform menu was an automatable control so the Komplete Kontrol keyboards and Maschine and Push could go through waveform from a knob. Those are really my only areas I'd like to see improved as far as the GUI.

My only issues with the GUI would the color/background scheme and maybe the knobs, that look slightly toy-ish.Echoes in the Attic wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 8:28 pmThen you are a little too sensitive.

I'd also prefer a wider and lower window, but that's just too personal.

Tha fact is: no GUI is perfect. Everyone has their own preferences what looks good/is inviting to use.
But! The easy of use, smoothness to go from section A to B, ease of browsing presets etc etc etc... They are the important things. The things that help your workflow - or break your workflow.
I know GUI is part of this process. But it’s still more of a personal option if the visual fits someone or not. But the ease of use is not really opinion, it’s something “real”. Example: something requires 3 clicks in DAW B and only 1 click in DAW A = DAW A had better workflow in this matter (that’s not question of opinion, it’s fact).
Some people might go for the DAW B even if it’s workflow is slower if they like the visual more. But then again some people might find the same visual terrible!

Hey Adam I have some feature suggestions that I've thought about:
- Reverb & delay width
- Being able to set the delay time L/R separately, like having 500 ms on L and 300 ms R if you get what I mean?
Your thoughts?

I like the GUI of what it is now. Mybe the knobs could be more virus like. But the other part is nice. It will destroy the synth make it look like a virus C or TI. I think it has its own style now and thats good.

This synth and most importantly it's sound is amazingly impressive in every way. The fact that it's one man project is making it even more impressive.
Adam should simply ignore KVR product specialists and run on his own as usual.
I truly wish and hope that Viper is prosperous project for him.
Every other person is entitled to his opinion and my opinion is no more or less worth then everyone else.
Of course you will always find someone say "i think it looks heap" or "i think it should use different font" and that is fine. Sound is what is counting. Remember we are into music not into showing our desktop screens.
I get it it's workflow thing but at this point it's probably safe to assume that Adam will continue to follow his judgment and everyone else who doesn't like it can move on to next product.
At least it's something i would do, instead of patronizing and teaching product maker on how should he make his own products. (spare me "i am giving him free advice, i am product specialist - because literally none of you so called GUI and font specialist ever produced a similar product)

Thank you for your thoughts and input! Indeed I have a very clear vision on what I want to achieve with this project. I am open for ideas and suggestions, and I try to add all the requests that I can to please the widest audience possible, while still navigating in my own plans. Viper is my main product so there are lots of updates and sounds coming, so its a good investment for anybody, it will grow even bigger and more powerful! I am almost done with my new website so I can continue work on improving Viper.
