Plugin Boutique Scaler 2 available now!

It just keeps crashing Live 10 and Reaper as soon as I use Detection and play some notes with my keyboard! I'll try in Bitwig and S1 to see.

I am having the same problem in Live 10. It happens on the second or third or fourth note I play when using detection. The last note makes a dit-dit-dit sound, and it crashes. This happened three times in a row. Rebooting my computer fixed it for one use. But the problem came back again, crash after crash.

Until it is fixed (I will have to notify them), I'll look for other ways to get scales in.

Well, they are aware of the problem--a lot posted in the following thread: https://forum.scalerplugin.com/t/scaler-2-crash/3195/35

Still, I'm able to choose from available scales, and I am digging this plug-in. I am loving exporting the midi to a track and then customizing it and using a synth of choice. It speeds up my arpeggio meandering so far, and I think I will get a lot of use out of it.

Unfortunately I already bought it before I tested a demo in Live 10. I didn't thought all that praise are from non Live 10/Reaper users! It seems they tested the detection only with Studio One! My mistake! I should have tested the demo!

I'm not going to be bothered with support! I'll just check for new update from time to time. There are already free scales detector online ( not by playing though, by entering the notes). I just thought this app would make it easier

New bug in v2.04 VST3 version (using Cakewalk by Bandlab)...

Insert Scaler 2 VST3 version and use it, drag some MIDI etc then save the project.

Close CbB and try to re-open the project. I just get an endless “Opening Project Loading Synth Scaler 2…” message and the project doesn’t open.

Works fine with the VST2 version of Scaler 2.

I've tried to find that info and failed, so can Scaler2 do this:
1) listen to a piece of MIDI I already have, say a melody or chord progression
2) tell me what key & scale they are
3) suggest alternatives and/or interesting chord progressions
4) transpose that existing MIDI (from #1 ) on the fly to those new suggested voicings, progressions, etc.

I'm 99% it can do 1-3, but 4 is where I'm doubtful?

I think it does all what you said in some way if not exactly how you want. I would highly recommend demoing it. Scaler 2 is mind blowing.

This seems limited in the genres of music you could use this in. Would this be useful in Metal?
