There is no magic sauce in Reaper that makes it better for that. Reaper is not worse, but everything he describes is easily doable in a normal workflow in those "other" DAWs.

For Cubase-like plugin search you have two options:
FastFX Finder: https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=229807
Quick Adder 2: https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=232928
For Cubase's info bar but better: MPL Interactive Toolbar

yeah I had my suspicion you didn't watch it. thanks for confirming
edit - specifically the thing he mentions at the start is naming conventions when rendering... which is absolutely factually/objectively more powerful than Cubase's. there is no workflow 'substitute' for reaper's render queue, either, other than spending hours more than you need to sitting down and bouncing things one after the other. and that's okay! some DAWs are better at some things and worse at other things!

Yes, spell it out for us.NERF; I'd love to hear you point out, specifically, what he said that was '100% total bullshit wrong'

Yes, sad but true. ‘What are you going to do today, honey?”
“Get on line and shit talk about Reaper (or whatever).”
“Oh that’s nice, darling.”
I get it, some people really like reaper (fanboi or gurl) and some people really don’t (haters), it’s just that it approaches absurdity (on both side but perhaps more so the haters.

Actually everybody I introduce Reaper to outside of KVR genuinely enjoys using it, no love, no hate, no fanboy, no haters, just a tool that does its job, much like every other DAW or plugin i suggest.
KVR is just full of posters like whatever that thing who posted in this thread was.
