I gut nuthin...
A bit of a departure from your usual stuff; a bit grungy.
I think I've got to be in the right mood to listen to it!
I like the "You want... No way". I think its good experimentation.
You dont love me at all...
I like that your lyrics often tell a story.
I'd like to hear that song with more of a edgy rock arrangement.

This current CD "Hammers And Nails" may not be your cup of tea. It's my tribute to Nine Inch Nails and they are certainly an acquired taste. So please, feel free to skip all this stuff until the CD is finished. I have 8 more tracks to do.Bansaw wrote: Fri May 29, 2020 2:23 am I gut nuthin...

In the meantime, I'm also working on my "Outtakes II" CD so you might want to keep an ear out for anything I post from that.
Thanks for the listen and the feedback.
** EDIT ** Oh wait, You Don't Love Me IS from Outtakes. It's a song I adapted from something a friend of mine wrote over at Gearslutz. The original was in Funk style but I just don't do that well so I tried something else. I'm probably going to shy away from doing anymore of his songs because I just can't groove like he does.

6th track from my upcoming CD "Hammers And Nails"
A few notes
I'm now half way through this CD. Here is where things start to get a little dicey for me usually. Trying to keep the ideas fresh (not doing a knock off of a previous song) gets more difficult. I know, groups have made a living out of making every song sound the same but I try not to do that. So this is where I really have to put on my thinking cap.
This song was done differently than normal. I had a small window for doing the vocals for this song so I did something I never did before. I recorded the vocals first, a-capella, hoping that I sang it in tune. Fortunately, I did. In fact, these are some of the best vocals I've done. No pitch correction was needed.
The song itself is rather minimalist. Not a lot is going on in this one. I wanted the lyrics to actually carry the song. That in itself is pretty tough for me as my lyrics are usually pretty bad, at least relative to my music.
Ozone Elements introduces terrible latency. Don't use it for mixing a track in progress like I did. Oh it sounds great after the fact but it's a nightmare to play through. Never again.
Amplitude Messa Boogie is great for heavy guitar sounds.
That's about it. Here's the song.
Your Body
I want to examine you
I want to see what lies underneath
I want to be one with you
I want to steal your lovin like a thief
Your body (I love your body)
Your body (I crave your body)
Your body (I lust for your body)
I want your body
I want to lie down with you
I want to feel your flesh with my hands
I want to be one with you
I want to spread you over the land
Repeat Chorus
Instrumental Break
Repeat Chorus
I want to grab hold of you
I want to lick you right down your thigh
I want to be one with you
I want to be with you til I die
Repeat Chorus

7th track from my upcoming CD "Hammers And Nails"
Tool
The way that you use me
The way you abuse me
I never felt so alive
The way that you hold me
The way that you scold me
I love the way that we thrive
I will be your tool
You can stick me in those hard to reach places
I will be your fool
So let us get right down to cases
The way that you thrill me
The way that you kill me
I love to die in your arms
The way that you toast me
The way that you roast me
You do me so much harm
Repeat Chorus
I will be your screw driver
I will be your muff diver
I will be your French poodle
I will eat your noodle
Instrumental Break
Repeat Chorus
Outro

The sexy is improving. I thought the 5th was too easygoing for castration. I really liked the 6th without worrying about whether or not it sounded NIN. My wife says it's all too slow for NIN. (She likes NIN. I don't really.) Haven't listened to 7th yet.

Some NiN is very slow. Obviously your wife isn't familiar with those tracks.empphryio wrote: Sat May 30, 2020 5:09 pm The sexy is improving. I thought the 5th was too easygoing for castration. AFAIK he completely derailed another members Music Cafe thread ... but the offending posts were all deleted by a mod. I also think a suspension is different to a perma-banrezoneight wrote: Wed Jun 03, 2020 8:07 pm Wow. Wags got suspended, and not even a temp one. Wonder what the hell he did.
