Hey all, I made a Windows utility for using different MIDI Learn presets in Rapid. Currently this is not supported in Rapid but it's really important for me, so this will let you easily save your Rapid MIDI Learn presets on demand.Application:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/e9o5ah7wr ... s.zip/file (http://www.mediafire.com/file/e9o5ah7wr7q7atu/Rapid_MIDI_Learn_Presets.zip/file)
Source:
https://github.com/domportera/Rapid-MIDI-Learn-Presets (https://github.com/domportera/Rapid-MIDI-Learn-Presets)
Any config loaded will be used until another one is loaded later, since this application is just a dumb file replace for the midi_mapping.txt file in C:\ProgramData\Parawave\Rapid, which is used every time Rapid starts.
I use Reaper, so my workflow is:
- Work on a Reaper project, and configure my desired MIDI Learn preset within Rapid
- Once I have what I want, I use the app to Save it to a folder of my choice, where I keep all my presets
- Depending on what Reaper project I want to work on, I use the app to Load my desired preset
- I then load that Reaper project *after* loading the preset.
Also, since Rapid doesn't support runtime file swapping for this (it has no reason to at the moment), if you want to load a preset while Rapid is already running in your project, you have to re-load your project in your DAW so Rapid re-loads the midi mapping file.
After loading your file, you can make changes from within Rapid and save it again, just as you would expect.
If anyone decides to use this, let me know if you have any issues or questions!

I don't care about that. It works for me, and completely without any glitches. No performance loss due to the "bloatware" either. Both Rapid and Avenger are top notch synths, and I could't care less about politics in this case.Caine123 wrote: ↑Sat May 30, 2020 12:56 amyeah when they remove their crap bloatware Codemeter and care for customers again.

Hi! First time here.
I see you had active discussion of MSEG a few pages ago. Just wanted to put my two cents in it.
I always liked Reaktor's Metaphysical Function approach to modulation.

Ableton have M4L device for similar purpose implemented as XY-pad

Instead of LFOs, ADSR and things like that it can record your exact movements of sliders, store and "play" it. Cool thing about that is it allow you to create pretty organic and natural movement. You can create rather complicated modulation quickly and pretty much hassle-free.
It doesn't replace MSEG but it an alternative solution to modulating-knobs-thing when you don't need sample accurate tempo-synced modulation.

There's a morphable grain envelope with various kinds of grain shapes.
Here's a first audio preview of the sounds you can expect from it.

Unfortunately neither my support mail nor my post in here got answered, so I'll just try again
I'd also like to ask if there's any changes planned on the license transfer politics or if they're still NFR.Kumal wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 3:58 pm Hello, just demoed Rapid. Something I noticed on Win: cancelling the x86 installer will stop the whole installation process. Why? I don't wan't to install x86. Besides that I noticed it steals the key commands in FL or StudioOne, e.g. after selecting a preset.
Can I disable the 22khz limitation or would you consider such an option? And does this limitation also apply to Rapid FX?

In my opinion most people won't want to sell rapid as its evolving in a great way and I don't have a problem regarding the NFR topic.

As already mentioned we've seen what happended to Avenger - right in the middle (not as promised in a 2.0 update) a very annoying change in copy protection. I think there are good reason to say goodbye to a product even though it looks promising in the beginning and I want to ensure I'm able to do so.lectropunk wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 11:27 am In my opinion most people won't want to sell rapid as its evolving in a great way

It would be useful to have a forum for Rapid on KVR or at least different threads for different topics like Granular, MSEG, commercial packs and pre-sets, suggestions, licence/install issues etc...
Back on to granular....more previews please (unless of course you are near release )
