i just need something i can clean up useless ambient audio frequencies. i might jump on the SL deal. looking thru the manual and doc. i just get a weird vibe about Magix. its like they are a Corel kind of company. not a market leader and just gimicky ads. i dont know.Nspace wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 2:07 amHey Kalamata Kid, bk's warning here applies to you, and all of us users who'd like to see tools like these at accessible prices:Kalamata Kid wrote: ↑Mon Jun 01, 2020 7:28 pm ^^^
Sound Forge Pro 13 and 14 I believe includes Spectral Layers 6 and version 7 when it is released. Too bad SF PRo 12 does not. https://www.magix.com/us/music/sound-fo ... -forge-pro
I hope that SF Pro 13 goes on sale at Humble Bundle soon.Yes, this Fanatical.com offer does not include SoundForge Pro 12 version (current is version 14), just the limited "studio" one. Plus, Spectralayers being an associated independent developer nowadays is closer to Steinberg, so I doubt SL will be present outside of Pro Suite versions.
That said, last year Magix Humble Bundle included legacy Pro versions. It remains a clever way to expand their customer base, helping both a cause and users that otherwise wouldn't have a chance.
In the case of specialized tools like SoundForge and more so, Spectralayers, a user base expansion could prove to be important since it will increase diverse involvement in their forums, support and testing.

Yes, that makes sense. However, in NI's world, an Update is for almost any product with the same name, regardless of the version. For example, I believe that anyone who owns Komplete 2-11 is eligible to purchase the Komplete 12 Update and only owners of Komplete 1 are not eligible. btw, this is the reason I always skip Komplete Updates, they rarely add anything useful for me and there's no price incentive to update on a yearly basis.

You're right, that was a horrible idea! Just remember to always pull your car over first before you stick your head between your legs to get a better smell. Really not safe in a moving vehicle (I learned that the hard way)!Kalamata Kid wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 8:38 am So are you saying that I need to buy a plugin and plugin it to my GAS hole and deprive the world from the aroma?

SL was not created by Magix and they passed it on to Steinberg fairly quickly after purchasing it.telecode wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 3:09 pmi just need something i can clean up useless ambient audio frequencies. i might jump on the SL deal. looking thru the manual and doc. i just get a weird vibe about Magix. its like they are a Corel kind of company. not a market leader and just gimicky ads. i dont know.
There are reasons not to buy SL but I don't see Magix as being one of them.
For cleaning up audio RX 7 Standard is worth consideration.

So, I don’t own Amplified Funk (or any versiojn of it), but the select2020 doesn’t work even though the T&C for the voucher says this:
"1. This e-voucher is valid on all Native Instruments software downloads available at the NI Online Shop. It is NOT valid on updates, upgrades, crossgrades, edu licenses, hardware, or products that are part of a special offer."
any idea why?

If I own Ozone 9 Elements, does that qualify to buy the RX7 Standard mentioned above at the discounted price? I like how NI tells you which version will work.agharta wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 4:36 pm

1. I hear that version 6 isn't great.
2. Has had three owners in a short time span which might explain 1).
3. Maybe better for sound design whereas RX is seen as one of the industry standards I think!.
If the price is right via a good deal then not much of a downside.
I'd buy SL6 for playing and RX7 for work if that makes sense.
It's just an opinion and I can't back it up so feel free to get more informed input.
