That's great! I imagine that will be hugely useful for video work.
However SL also has very efficient spectral "casting" and "molding" easy tools which are the bigger weapon there is at the Loudness Wars, but highly destructive, to the point of leaving your stems unrecoverable for future alternative mastering, if you don't save them elsewhere before the process.
Wow, I just read about Spectral Casting and Spectral Molding, those seem incredible:

Dirtgrain wrote: Wed Jun 03, 2020 2:06 pm So NI does have some instruments on sale, but not Molekular. Has anybody ever seen Molekular on sale?
It will be 50% off during Thanksgiving/Black Friday sale, as I just mentioned above - 50% off individual products during Black Friday.
Ya, just checking specifically for Molekular, as I wondered if it might be excluded from sales. Thank you.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

Dirtgrain wrote: Wed Jun 03, 2020 12:19 pm I was hoping to get Molekular from Native Instruments on sale, but this sale is only on upgrades and updates. Is there another sale you expect where something like Molekular would be discounted? (I have Komplete, but I don't want all the crap with Ultimate.)
yeah. there will probably be another in fall. if i recall, NI do a 50% off sale on individual Kontact items or expansions sometime in Sept or Oct.

edit. oops. i was mistaken. NI do have a sale on instruments

https://www.native-instruments.com/en/c ... s-upd-upg/
But just for updates / upgrades / crossgrades, unless I missed something.

Crossgrade for Massive X:

"This crossgrade only works for users of MASSIVE.
You won't be able to install and activate this version unless you own one of the required products listed above!"

So the "crossgrade" is really just an update from previous versions of Massive? Or is the list of other crossgrade options missing?

[Edit: after logging in, it tells me I don't have any of the required products for the crossgrade, though it doesn't mention any besides Massive.]

Does anyone have any thoughts on these? I've heard them in a few compositions now. No keyswitch articulations so you'll have to do it the old way, that's the major downside I'm seeing right now. It seems that there's legitimately only 4 or 5 "arabic" or "oriental" strings libraries out there that have this sound.

They also have a free 970mb multisample string library on their site, worth getting just that for sure.

For the two $0 libraries on that page, clicking "Order now" only reloads the page....

Tried clicking on "Order Now" for one of the products listed as $100, and it showed up as $200.

And they still have a banner on top advertising their up to 98% off "Cyber Monday" code, which doesn't work.

FWIW.. that is a weirdly coded page. very unkosher. i would not be wanting to place my billing into into it.

This is the link to the offer for 150. I successfully downloaded the free content through their checkout, I think something must be going on with their web designer as it also lists something to do with "web services" but it links back to their support ticket page. The 00 you see is probably the past deals that they posted on their facebook as well.

isn't that why paypal is a thing?

I'm really hoping to find at least someone who has bought it, the website from some seemingly unknown to google search company based in Algeria is a bit weird and gives off a few red flags. The demo that I have now sounds really good so I may take the risk tomorrow.

There are scripts that will help you turn these instruments into 1 with keyswitch so no need to do do it the old way. I think Orange Tree Samples has one for free.
What ever!

I'm about to drop £379 for the FF mastering bundle Pro Q - L2 - Multiband - Comp. Is there any likelihood they are about to have a summer sale?

Kalamata Kid wrote: Wed Jun 03, 2020 1:40 pmNspace, I also thank you for the interesting post. Had no idea that Spectralayers 7 was announced. Do you have a link for that?

I passed up the previous sale in the hope that there may soon be another better sale for Sound Forge Pro 13 or 14 which includes SL 6 and 7. I suppose SL 6 and/or 7 will eventually be sold separately from Sound Forge.

"Steinberg SpectraLayers Pro 6 + 7
Steinberg SpectraLayers Pro 6 is one of the most advanced spectral editors worldwide. SpectraLayers Pro transforms sound into a unique visual world of multidimensional audio data. Its concept, based on frequency selection, enables sounds to be extracted, optimized or rearranged in a new, revolutionary way. Thanks to ARA2, SpectraLayers Pro is now more seamlessly integrated into Samplitude Pro X5. All customers that purchase a copy of Samplitude Pro X5 Suite will be able to download the forthcoming update to SpectraLayers Pro 7 for free.
"

Magix has been bundling SF and SL with Samplitude PRO Suites, however sales usually include legacy SF versions, which have also appeared at HumbleBundle. SL was only included in some of the bundle sales, careful with that.
