The upgrade code process is such a joke...

classy. can't say the same about the OP.
True, I'm passionate like that, waddayawant. I used to be a raving fanboi of WF8 when it was just out (right here on this forum, if you bother to check, back in the day). Bought the Ultimate package, raved about its Linux support, etc.
Then just about nothing worked, and some pricing drama at the time of WF9 upgrade broke the camel's back.
I'll quote M. L. King "There can be no deep disappointment where there is not deep love".

But I'll agree with you, that is a classy move.

I want WF to work. I love a lot of ideas in it like the pattern generator (hey, gotta have a crutch for mah smol brainz), I love that it supports Linux, I love that it's affordable...
But I just never got WF8 to work, and yeah, I'll admit my love turned sour. Then when I finally thought I could get that love back, this happens. Bad luck.

But if anything, yes, TSC here has been more friendly than I probably deserve, and maybe there is still love yet, that WF11 will uncover.
Cheers!

Good to hear you're not having any bother, except with EchoBoy, of course, that you've mentioned, so far. All the best bro.
Yeah because I'm going to play with the Registry and move my %Program Files% to another disk at the risk of f**king up my whole system just to install WF. Sure. Yeah. Right.
All the bro, best ! Much love <3

TSC wrote: Wed Jun 03, 2020 4:07 pm Very happy to hear you got your code finally!!

We are looking into this from our end to figure out how this went so wrong - not had this happen previously

Send us a private message and we will hook you up with a synth to apologize!!

Regarding the Biotek upgrade, it is available in the bundles - or you can add using the custom bundle builder (only available on our site) during the upgrade process to get additional discounts if that's all you needed to add

Regarding the installers, yes we do instal to the C drive, but allow for the larger content portions of the DAW and plugins to be placed anywhere. Waveform uses approx 200MB and its never been requested - until now. If folk feel strongly about wanting to do this, it gets added to the feature request priority list :)
Hi there,
Thanks a lot for your answer and your offer. That was unexpected and classy, as JamminFool puts it.

For Biotek 2, my issue is more one of having Biotek 1 kinda abandoned so shortly after release and having a paid upgrade for it. It's more a question of principle than a specific need of Biotek2.
I'm sure you had your reasons for that, but as a customer, it felt wrong to have it abandoned so quickly and with a relatively steep upgrade path.

And if that wasn't enough, it was the same with Collective (that I also own) that isn't even sold anymore, AFAIK. I'm not sure if it ever left Beta status.

I don't doubt you had business reasons for this, and I also trust that you're a bunch of good guys working on your dream project. You're not out to scam people in any way, I'm aware of that.
But damn if you don't make it hard sometimes for us to love you :D

Anyway, thanks for letting me rant wildly and keeping your cool <3
Will message you later.
PS: yeah, custom install path would be great. I love to have all my stuff neatly in my Audio Production folder. OCD and all that, I guess...

VST3 will haunt you in your dreams :hihi:
I used to be the same. Turns out, wasn't worth the trouble since reinstalling windows meant to reinstall all vsts, because of registry entries.
Now everything is on C; backup, installers and projects are on different drives.

Ohhh, so you mean we're supposed to install a piece of software in %Program Files%, which is linked to the system drive, but somehow without using the system drive nor playing with symlinks and registry?
Waaah, you so good!
Is it possible to learn this powah?
Inb4, you gonna play word games and say you can choose a different letter than C as system drive, which is technically correct (the best kind of correct) but utterly stupid (the best kind of stupid).

It, of course, works flawlessly on Bitwig (same VST, same computer, same folder...), but what do I know? Maybe I should put it in C:\Program Files\
At the risk of being belittled by you while trying to help:
Try removing echoboy from the list of failed plugins and rescan. I've had some success with this on a few plugins.
