you're wanting to have different parts of the kit on different tracks so you can process them differently right? - that's the normal way to do it e.g. you may want a bit of verb on your snare, but not kick; you may want compression on the kick but not crashes etc.rpc9943 wrote:so the best way to make drums is have a track per sample?
If you're using sfz to play the nskit you can't do this since sfz doesn't have multi outs - so you need to have an instance of sfz on each track you want for each part of the kit. for what it's worth i think sfz+ does do this if you really want to get into sf2 and sfz files.
this is the main reason i've stuck with the old DS404 and CM's free patch (avoiding mapping
Besides, i've been getting some strange sounds using the nskit in sfz - the stereo samples are SO 'stereo' it sounds like a ping pong delay. I'll no doubt be shot down for this as there are many who use sfz with the kit without any problems at all.

ahhh wait a minute okay so I've been playing around and found that loopazoid does what i need. It has 8 outs where i can then make a rack where it can be routed exactly as needed. Nice. Okay now everythings fine!
i appreciate it!
