Scuffham S-Gear on sale for $99
https://www.scuffhamamps.com/product/s-gear
Tried a fair few amp sims, and to my ears this is my favourite (I mainly prefer clean / mildly overdriven tones)

Ive had this for a few years now. I also did the pre buy on the Positive Grid Spark amp and have been using it since March. This actual practice amp is so much better than having an amp sim and it was only $200 . Great sound at low level and great for recording. The SGear was never easy to get a good tone (I work with cleaner tones mostly) and after waiting over a year for an update it was $29 for basically a scalable GUI. SGear has a cult like following at its forum so useless for anything other than "wow this sim is great". To me, when real great sounding amps can be had for relatively cheap , sims have to do a lot more : I dont see it with SGeargrumpyG wrote: Fri Jun 12, 2020 3:54 am Scuffham S-Gear on sale for $99

Thanks! Just ordered a copy.Ceej wrote: Fri Jun 12, 2020 6:32 am Guitar Center is blowing out physical copies of FXpansion's "Strobe 2" for just $20 (MSRP $179)!

Note: as with other similar deals recently, this is quite probably US-only. Free shipping in the lower 48, at least, though.
Looks like this item can be shipped outside of the US, but you might not be able to ship via the postal option if you need to pay duties/taxes. They only allow you to pick a shipping option that takes care of the duties/taxes. Including shipping to Canada and taxes, it came to about $40 USD all-in which is still pretty good for this VI.

Thanks for this information. I might ask my brother, who is in Canada, to order this for me. Did it reach your home address or you had to pick up somewhere? And apart from the amount you paid while ordering did you have to pay anything else?SolarAxix wrote: Fri Jun 12, 2020 6:55 amThanks! Is the serial number supplied on a card or something? Just to ensure he can pass me a pic of the serial, which I can simply register in my FXpansion account.

I just ordered it today, so I haven't received it yet. Guitar Center makes it explicit that there are no extra charges other than the ones you pay while ordering it. As for what it includes, I would expect it to be a serial number on a card. I guess I'll find out for sure once it gets here in a couple of weeks.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Fri Jun 12, 2020 7:09 amThanks for this information. In the past, I actually got stuff shipped to US PO Box and I'd drive there (about an hour's drive from my house), but with the current state, the boarder is closed so it's not really an option.

Okay, thanks for the reply. I just checked and GC indeed mentions the final price to pay. In the meantime, my brother said he will get it for me, so I will get it ordered now. $38 with postal shipping.SolarAxix wrote: Fri Jun 12, 2020 7:21 amI just ordered it today, so I haven't received it yet. Yeah, that would have been a great option for you considering postal shipping says 2 weeks, so it is a significant wait. In the meantime, we can get the demo installed if not already.

Damn, on the Guitar Center payment page, I get a message saying "Total Remaining:$24.87". It is shown under "Order Total: $31.73". What the heck does that mean?
Looks like $24.87 is product + shipping, and $31.73 is including handling charges. So, the total payment to be made is $31.73.

Id recommend anyone considering S Gear to demo it to make sure the gui and workflow feels right. In some ways S Gear is great, it can be very responsive to touch and there are enough options such as mic positioning and IR loading to really enjoy it and make it your go to but there is plenty of excellent alternatives. Boils down to a proper demo and how you gel with it. Also be aware everyone is awaiting S Gear version 3 which will be a paid upgrade. It could come any day, or soon enough, or it could drag a few more years still. But its definitely coming at some point. Some may want to wait.Kurdish Mayfield wrote: Fri Jun 12, 2020 6:29 amIve had this for a few years now. I also did the pre buy on the Positive Grid Spark amp and have been using it since March. I have been following Scuffham and I rarely see it on sale. This is the first time in a long time I have seen it on sale.Insanelysane wrote: Fri Jun 12, 2020 10:22 amId recommend anyone considering S Gear to demo it to make sure the gui and workflow feels right. I was doing a lot of demoing about a year ago and tried Scuffham along with others. I liked the tones but found the GUI a little less appealing than Amplitube 4. But I do think it had a better sound. But AT4 was 1/4 of the price compared to what Scuffham costs.

I ordered it from musicians friend last week and it’s due to arrive today, so I’ll let you know what arrives. I’m sure it’s a serial number on a card too.SolarAxix wrote: Fri Jun 12, 2020 7:21 amI just ordered it today, so I haven't received it yet. These are really good, I've had them for a few days now and I'm already replacing or adding them to every song I'm working on now. 30 dollars. Sale ends June 14th. They seriously are on the same level as SWAM when it comes to expressiveness.
The VG Jazz saxophones are really good too and I'm really liking the jazz trumpet, they don't have the features of the plus stuff though.
There's too many good sales on right now... I think I may have to get the Soundiron Venus choir as well but I'm trying to fight the urge, I've been saving my APD points for the bundle that includes Venus but it seems they've taken it down because of the VSTBuzz deal.

This is also pretty good. I have just the strings and really enjoy them.

Practice tools are really great to me. Keep in mind that I havent focused on the things that have been available over the years like Chordify and such. I just spent my time trying to find the perfect sim. Having a great sounding amp with built in chord analysis and the ability to import and analyze tracks from Spotify or You Tube plus built in tracks to jam with is game changing. There is literally always something to try when I pick up the guitar. I havent used the feature that lets the amp build a track based on your playing very much.Uncle E wrote: Fri Jun 12, 2020 5:15 pmHow are you liking the practice tools?Kurdish Mayfield wrote: Fri Jun 12, 2020 6:29 am Ive had this for a few years now. Also as far as SGear goes, the advice to try the demo is a really good idea

The 450GB is a bit of a gimmick because foley sounds tend to come in a gazillion different file formats some of which are so uncompressed they are almost expanded. But the sounds included in this library are actually really nice! Certainly worth way more than 16 bucks.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Fri Jun 12, 2020 5:41 pm EXCLUSIVE DEAL: Get 450+ GB Of Royalty-Free Sounds For $16!
