I don't know what the pads in #1 do but in #2 and #3 the pads also have labels.
Of course the more options for MUX front panels the better, but that is to be balanced with the many other wishes for MuLab/Mux. Cfr viewtopic.php?f=79&t=357048

How to do it:
A Text Label hides the labels of the Note Event Pad & background colour of the Text Label = background colour of the MUX & select 'Connected Left/Right/Top/Bottom Side'.

No problem. Two more things: each new component (also a copy of a component!) will be send to back (behind other components). So make sure to bring the Note Event Pads (or a copy of it, useful to remember) to the front panel after you've inserted the Text Label. Finally to fine-tune the visual arrangement, I've set the grid size (right click 'Preferences') of that Mux to 1 pixel.

For completeness and future compatibility i must state that overlapping components is not a supported case. It might work in this version but maybe not anymore in a future version.

There are many hundreds of similar feature requests. I'm currently working on some main feature requested by many users. It would not be ok to stop working on something many users asked and start working something only a single user asked. Sorry for my limitations.
