Everytime I try to start traction it freezes up the computer!
While initializing it takes its time then comes up with a message " can't locate plugins ", then after about ten minutes on the lower part of screen says it's looking for new plugins., then just stays there.
When I bring up task manager it says Traction isn't running. I try to end the program but can't get the mouse to respond normally like the computer is too busy trying to do something else. When I patiently do get the mouse where I want it and click end program the task manager comes up after about five minutes and sits there frozen.
What gives?

Stop all background processes, especially anti-virus (disconnect from the net if you're worried), stop all processes that start on boot using msconfig, start tracktion up again. Does the same thing happen? If so, reinstall Tracktion, if necessary delete or rename your user settings file and recreate it with a fresh install.
