m-ac wrote: Sun Jun 14, 2020 1:38 pm Another quick question - can someone explain the arp on/off lighting status? I'm assuming the ring around the button is linked to the fact it can be switched on and off in the macros, but it seems to function differently on different presets.

I've RTFM, but it doesn't seemed to be explained anywhere. Also, I can only find the the manual for version 1.4.2...is there an up to date version of the manual anywhere?

Do you have an example? Impossible to tell what the issue is from the info you gave.
The issue with the extra light around the on/off button? I just wanted some info on how it functions. For example, heres a preset with the arp on by default when loaded, and then switched off via the macro.

Now here's another preset, again with the arp on by default, but the on/off state of the lights is different (look at the square ring).

The arp button with the line around it is because it has a macro button tied to it and it is switched on.

if you switch the macro off the button is normal, if the macro is on then it has a line around it so you can differentiate between 2 off/on buttons.

That's what I assumed too, but in my examples above the lights work in completely ways.

First example: Macro not active, arp on - solid square light on, ring off. Macro active, arp off - solid square light off, ring on.

Second example: Macro not active, arp on - solid square light on, ring on. Macro active, arp off - solid square light off, ring off.

Maybe it's explained in the manual. So, is there an up to date manual available?

I'm guessing the box appears when there is a control actively modifying it. In the first example the macro turns the arp OFF when active. The second example the macro turns the arp ON when active.

Post

the box appears when modulation is active. When the button is modulated to another state, the square will appear. It does not matter if this is an on or an off modulation

regarding note reset: set the polyphony to 1/1 and back. This will kill all notes.

Ok thanks. Regarding the hanging notes, I tested further and I'm 100% sure it's connected to the humanize function in the arp as I can replicate the issue every time. I INIT the synth, add an arp, add some humanize and bam, hanging notes once it starts playing through.

I'll send an email to Rene but figured it might be helpful to post here incase anyone else is having similar issues.

Yep, still does it in 1.5.9.

Video demonstrating the issue. Sorry about the sound - had the neighbourhood chavs flying past in their shitboxes and I had to use my built in mic.

Getting hanging notes as well here. Win10, Avenger v1.5.9, Reaper v6.12.

Post

okay I found another really annoying issue... my ableton just crashed and used the recreation feature of ableton and I noticed no avenger channel was playing anymore and when I click the plugin it says: "Error, cannot create plugin instance. Please reinstall".
When I do reinstall it which is annoying by its own, the patch which I programmed is not existent anymore and I really dont have any clue anymore how I did it. Is there a workaround Manuel?

I thougt it starts at 80%? Isnt this the case? (However in the Win registry it can be adjusted, too afaik)

first time I hear this. You should write the support/Rene whats wrong so he can fix
Is there a workaround Manuel?
best thing is to contact the support. I am no technician and cant give support here

regarding hanging notes:
I can report that Rene was able to reproduce (the Arp humanize did it) and can fix it in the next minor update

problem for my FX fixed by the support :) they told me to use a specific version of the elicencer, now i have all my vengeance fx working :tu:
