I'd be very happy for that change to be accompanied by a drop in their exorbitant transfer fees.

Waves update is 25% off right now. I've never updated before but I did this time because I'm moving into a new machine soon. It will be nice to have everything up to date.

Also, you get a voucher for the update amount, which was $180 in my case.

No monthly vouchers in June, but they sent out this $20 voucher code (no minimum I think): SUMMER-2020-20

Good until June 24. At some point between then and the end of the month they'll almost certainly do their usual surprise voucher, but probably with a high minimum spend.

; that could make a large one like yours tricky to use on upgrades because if you try to add an upgrade to your cart it removes everything else (including other upgrades!)

I thought the WUP sale is 25%? Was referring to the CREATE40 sale on plugins and bundles.

Yes, that's sadly a Waves policy.
It's only possible to buy only one upgrade at a time and you can also not combine an upgrade with a "normal" plugin.

Clearing up the mess:

WUP is now 25% off, base price, for all. No vouchers needed.
Existing vouchers are not eligible for this.
The voucher that you receive AFTER WUP'ping can be used for plugins, bundles and upgrades.
It can be used for one order only and does not carry a remaining balance.
