I prefer to see this as a strength of Bazille more than a weakness of Zebra2, but I'm biased!
However, the fabled Zebra3 will def. have more FM capabilities.

I'm not sure if then adding another modulator is the same as square wave pm'd by sine, since the modulators are in parallel. I think the spectrum generated is the same, but the volumes of partials work out differently

I think I found the solution
Choose an fm operator and a regular osc set to +12 , spectroblend mode first partial , feed this in to the fmo , this gives us a square .
It's essential that the modulator is NOT an FMO , because other wise the third modulator would mess this one up
Create another osc and set tuning to +19 ( ratio 3 ) , this will also feed directly into the fmo
I compared with dexed and results are samo :tu:
To make the square wave sharper , we just need a bit of scrambler effect (self feedback ) for the modulator 2:1 ( outlined in yellow )

Attached is my laptop + earbuds attempt... not that I've ever heard of foghorn bass as a "thing"! Resave if you get an error message - I'm running a recent internal beta of Zeebs.

Yeah! Playing C0 - C2 sounds great!
Thanks for taking a stab at this. You've shown it's not complicated either. Yet, I can see it takes some finesse; I wasn't able to get this close ...
Cool, I'll pass it on. :tu:

Howard,
Thank you for sharing, I'll check it out later. If I recall correctly, you are originally from England. You should know a thing or two about fog.
