Ya, no DVD/CD in it--just a card with a serial number to activate Strobe2. It did arrive in a big yellow-ish shipping envelope (like what Amazon uses frequently).

Anyone get the Strobe2 from Musicians Friend in the mail yet? I had mine sent to my wife at home, im overseas, and wondering what it looks like. What kinda package so she doesnt just throw it out or something. Its was shipped like 11 days ago

Anyone have issues registering? I feel like this happens fairly often with these types of sales (from physical stores), but this is the first time it's happened to me.

I spoke to musician's friends and they told me to contact FXpansion/Roli to resolve which I've already requested help with. I just have to wait now.

Still I'm curious if anyone else has had any issue.

Angus from FXpansion stated that they have never made DVD versions of strobe 2. This means that musicians friend made these DVDs themselves. There is certainly the potential for mistakes to happen in that case.

I have seen cases where software companies have sold us codes and then sold those same codes to other dealers. I do not remember having that kind of issue ever happen with FXpansion.

Makes sense considering his reaction to the DVD case in the Strobe 2 thread. I sent photos/screen shots for all, so we'll see how this goes.

that's very strange. also sounds unethical, no? how can you just burn an "official" looking copy of another company's product? never heard of that except in the black market business.
