Hi Bitwigglers!

I am an old Cubase user (20+ years) who has now finally decided to get into Bitwig for real. I am truly impressed by how Bitwig is being developed and how it just works! Those tasks that are impossible to do, or are really awkward, in Cubase are doable with just a few clicks in Bitwig (advanced controller support, modulation macros etc). Since I mostly make the kind of music that is heavily dependent on sound design and the usage of modulation, Bitwig is more or less a revolution for me. And I can use my eurorack with Expert Sleepers modules in a much better way now.

Now to my question:

I use an ultrawide screen (3840x1200). I am trying to setup Bitwig in an optimal way where I have certain views/parts/windows opened at all times. In Cubase I used to have the mixer to the right and the arranger window to the left. I have not found a way to split the screen like this in Bitwig using only one monitor. Is it possible to arrange a "dual screen" type of setup using a single monitor in Bitwig - or any way to let me customize where I want windows to be located at all times?

Regards,
C.

In Bitwig, go to settings -> user interface and select under Display profile, say, "Dual Display (Arranger/Mixer)", this will now create two separate Bitwig Studio windows. Assuming you're under Windows 10 (not sure how this works under Mac or Linux), select the first window and press Windows key + Left Arrow. Then select the second window and press Windows key + Right Arrow. By default they will each take up half of your screen, but you can drag the border of either window to create a different ratio.
