Is that part of being multi-timbral, though? I always thought that multi-timbral synths do exactly that: Save one program, not invidual parts of the programs.
Both save and load. I was expecting to be able to load a program, then click on part 2 and load another program, and so on.
I guess it doesn't work that way, but I can live with it.
Yeah it doesn't work like that unfortunately (Albino 3 worked like that). Consider Largo patches as 4-part multitimbral from the get go.

You can copy and paste parts between presets.

Give this one a try: https://softknobs.com/docs/blofeld/

I've been using it since a couple knobs on my Blofeld keyboard went wonky. It works good for me.

Thanks to whoever made it. :hail:
Ah awesome thanks for the tip, will check it out :tu:

Doesn't work for me. I can copy/paste programs, but not parts.
Fire up Largo with a program, go to another program, click copy - go back to the 1st program and click on part two and click paste - the original program that was on part one is replaced.

So yes - you can copy and paste, but it doesn't give you two programs on two parts - unless the original program was made and saved that way, and I haven't run across any programs that were made that way yet.

Not a big deal for me though. I'm fine with it as it is. It just takes extra pre-planning and programming to get the results you're after.

The distinction between 'program' and 'part' is in the manual, but it didn't become clear until I played with it a bit.
It works, I've done it in the past (don't have it now), be sure to set the outputs correctly before that - go from one to four (in the preset you're working with).

Load the source preset, copy the part you need, go to the preset you're working with, choose the part and paste. Save. Then again for the other parts. Save. You now have a Largo preset with 4 parts custom selected and tweaked by you.

It's a bit of back-and-forth but Waldorf are geeks, so this can be expected from them.

OK - got it to work.
If you've been following the Largo threads, I just got it in last week's sale, and when I installed it, I installed the VST3 version.
Other people have also said they've found bugs, defects, and crashes when using that version.
It's the only vsti for as long as I can remember that caused a 'serious error' message and a forced shutdown in one of my DAW programs.

I attribute the problems I was having to using that VST3 version, and have notified Waldorf about it.
Copy/paste works as you say in the VST2 version.
Hard to describe the frustration I was experiencing with it because it was so buggy,
but it all seems to be working smoothly now.

So late to the party, just got Largo on the 30th Anniversary sale. I own the uWaveXT, uQ and Pulse+. So happy to finally got it! Long time ago the e-licenser has kept me away from it, also many of the audio demos which didn't do it justice. On the other hand I also own Nave, Waldorf Edition 2 and PPG 3.v. But what a mistake, the synth really click with me. It's not a replacement of anything but kind of a mix of everything which is perfect for what I'm currently looking for. A darker sounding uQ, with a Microwave 1 vibe. It also kind of the Pulse VST to me, not the same but similar excitement. It can do a smoother and more complex PPG sound for a vintage modern type of sound. Really wish that Waldorf would develop such an amazing synth, Version 2 with just some simple updates such as a bigger GUI, user Wavetables, more filter types (PPG) will be a dream come true.

The first installer since ages that requires a restart...
I bet they sell 10 times more than before...
Alone the sound sets coming with it could be worth it, even if you don't get into creating your own sounds...
Now please those who own a Blofeld and get this explain the differences...
