Hi, I created midi files with a SampleTank 4 plugin and when I go to export to wav it does not export the sounds of midi (it exports only one), it only exports the audio track.
I read in this thread viewtopic.php?t=484197 that disabling "Pass through plugins" solves the problem. I was unable to find this option, where can I find it? Will it actually solve the problem?

Something is confused in your question.
Are you hoping for one or more audio tracks to be produced, or one audio track with sounds from several tracks? Or something else?

Yes, what kind of file do you expect to see? If you generate a .wav or .mp3 file, it can only have audio content, and will use either the audio in the tracks or audio generated by the selected .vst in the track.
If you export to a .MID file, you have MIDI "keystrokes" or notes to be read by another program, and the sounds generated then will have no reference to any specific sound - other than possibly default "General MIDI" sounds (i.e. channel 1 tends to be piano, and channel 10 tends to be drums).

Maybe you're experiencing some sort of broblems releated to VST3 plugins. What synths do you use? And are they VST2 or VST3?SimoneLRS wrote: Tue Jun 23, 2020 9:39 am Hi, I created midi files with a SampleTank 4 plugin and when I go to export to wav it does not export the sounds of midi (it exports only one), it only exports the audio track.I read in this thread viewtopic.php?t=484197 that disabling "Pass through plugins" solves the problem. I solved the problem, I practically used the VST version 2 instead of the 3 and it worked fine, it was probably an incompatibility with the VST version 3. Regarding the other questions you asked me my intention was to export the MIDI file to WAV, produce a single WAV file that included all MIDI audio tracks produced with the VST Plugins. Thanks a lot anyway

Which version of Waveform are you running?
11.1.0 released 06/29/20
- Bugs: Fixed VST3 synths losing their MIDI input when rendering
I've just tested using the VST3 version of SampleTank 4 and it was able to render.

Surely there must be consensus by now...
