It shows the 79USD price through the loyalty offer page. I didn't buy stutter edit from izotope but a reseller, I registered the serial later on the izotope website, so it shows $0 as the purchase price.

Plugin Boutique also has the upgrade price available.

I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

If you don't own Stutter Edit 1 but you own ANY other paid iZotope product, you can still get SE2 for 50% off at Plugin Boutique here

Maybe other resellers will add this offer soon too

The upgrade is twice the price I paid for the full v1 !

I'm not sure if I should laugh or rant, they are both pretty close atm. iZotope, the gods of overpriced products. I bet you get a minimum of 80% CPU use as a bonus as well. Owning Music Production Suite 3, as well as Stutter Edit, Iris, Trash 2 and BreakTweaker, $79 is nothing more than a laugh.

I like iZotope products (not their pricing scheme), but this is a hard pass.

wondering - when SE2 will be on offer 50% or better

For me it's insta-buy. All old features are there, but there's a lot more customisation for every effect, improved and high-DPI interface, more effects and even better presets overall. Plus, all the favourite features are still here. Whatever I did before, I will now do better and quicker.

The only downside of new version is the loss of immediate one-page interface.

Interesting. I'll have to take a closer look and consider the upgrade price. ...

With the group discount at jrr, I felt it was worth the upgrade. Looks like a nice refinement of the SE1 UX which is very needed. I'm looking forward to digging into this and revisiting SE!

Here's a track I did with SE1:
