This is all that's there element-0.42.0.tar.gz
I can't see element-win64-0.42.0.exe

Post

I see now. Sorry, haven't noticed there wasn't actual links there. This is even bigger mistake by Kushview.
Try to use contact form on their website to notify them about this major issue. Or trough github.
They recently sent email or something about v0.43 but only for patrons (for now). Wondering why as a previous "pro" user Im not included in those but too lazy to contact them about it

Seems that there aren't public installers on github, only source code (after Element v0.41.1). Previous users and patrons got latest

Does the 0.43.1 version allow you to load the presets of 3rd party plugins more directly than version 0.41.1? In 0.41.1 selecting plugin presets seems as cumbersome as in Maschine. And once you've selected a preset, I also would like to have a next and previous preset button. Is that already possible with version 0.43.1?

Post

This is my first post here. I've been around midi for years, but still relatively new to VST plugins, and I'm using Element (and sometimes NanoHost) as a VST Host to get familiar with lots of plugins. I totally appreciate what Kushview is doing.

Dumb question... I notice that drum plugins have a LOT of green audio output dots along the bottom. Which am I supposed to use when connecting to the Speakers box for output? Just the leftmost two, or what?

(Slightly OT: Is there any basic GM-mapped drum sound plugin that'll work with the Virtual Keyboard that anyone here might recommend as working well with Element? I just want sounds, not patterns)

Post

Hi, welcome!

If there are many stereo pairs output,
the plugin instrument allows you to route audio to them,
so if it's a drum plug, you can later put just the congas through a delay or whatever fx chain you would like to do to just one/some of the sounds of the drum pattern.

By default the leftmost pair will have all the drums on it.

It looks like you can sometimes make the audio output ports invisible if you'd like by clicking the settings(gear) icon. I have this host, and use it a little
I wonder what I want in here
-my site is gone and music a mess

Anyone who used Kushview Element:

is it possible to create macro controls, so that when you have multiple plugins in a chain, you can directly access chosen parameters (eg the wet/dry control of a reverb as one macro control, the gain of a low-shelf filter from another EQ in the chain as another macro control and so on)?

Also, it it possible in any way to save a plugin chain and send it to another person, so that when he opens the file, they can see which plugins need to be present to recreate that exact chain (and if he already has those plugins installed, he can immediately use the chain)?

Thanks in advance

There are 8 assignable parameters.

That's great! Thanks for your answer. Do you know about saving plugin chains / layouts and loading them on another computer / another instance of Kush?

No, I don't know. I'm only using my plugin chains on one computer.

I'm sure you can load them on another computer,
just save your project, and open on other system

-but you'll need to have exactly the same plugins that are used installed on both computers

If there is a plugin missing though, then Element will keep the configuration as it was and report the name of the missing plugin:
This node is unavailable and running as Placeholder. ... could not be found for loading.

Does Element have a midi file player, like the audio file player? Or does anyone know how I could feed a midi file into an Element chain?
