I want to fade out an edit (final 3 or 4 bars) which has 10 tracks . I can select the tracks but can't figure out how to fade the entire selection as opposed to trying to fade each track individually. Can I do this? I don't seem to find this specific issue in the manual. Also, in many programs when you use help you can search for a particular topic and various areas of the manual etc. will show up. Is there a way to do that for the Tracktion manual?
Thanks.

Create a submix of those tracks and use a volume automation for the volume & pan module.
To do so, highlight your tracks and right click one of those tracks( best on the left side), you will find the respective item there.

Create a folder containing your desired tracks and automate the vca module.

Alternatively select all tracks and route them to a common track by using the main menu. Output routing is displayed on the right side of the menu. Now apply volume automation

If you select the master fader, you can do a fade from the panel that opens up, using one of their fade out slopes. I can't remember how to do it, but I know it can be done.

Thank you!!! It worked fine using the folder track and volume automation. Lots more to explore here. Thanks again for the tips.

This is by far the easiest way to do a simple fade-in at the beginning or fade-out at the end.

I wasn't aware of the master bus fade out. I see it has fade in and fade out...to fade out an entire project, so I just offset the time? How does it work? I've always used the folder track trick and would prefer something simpler.
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.

You set the length of the fade and the fade curve. So in essence, you set the number of beats from the end where the fade starts. The fade is shown as a curve in the bar/beats lane.

Thanks, Stuttaton. I'm eager to try this. As always, you're a great help!
