Just a final thought: do you think it would be consistent to carry through this Mute-Solo system to Tracks with subtracks as well? Or are there reasons to stick to the current system?

The next version will include this finetuned track solo.

Just thought Id say, that's a nice touch Jo, its great that someone goes into such detail to help iron out problems as it can't be easy trying to see all the different scenarios you can come across when implementing a feature. Well deserved TDM.

Thanks for the kind words, though I'm surely not the only one who seems to spend a lot of time working with Mulab/Mux, given the user activity on this forum (expert user help, MuLib, etc.).

What's changed:

Solo tracks with sub-tracks: Finetuned behaviour.
MIDI Input: When playing ultra short notes it could be that they were not making any sound. Fixed.
Dropping an Input/Output module on the [+] track button caused a crash. Fixed.
LFO: Tempo syncing now is dynamic.
Other mini improvements.

How to update MuLab:
Windows: Replace the current MuLab.exe and MuLab.ID by the new versions.
MacOS: Replace the current MuLab.app by the new version.

MuLab 8.6.16 is available in http://www.mutools.com/mulab/beta/

What's changed:

Modulation cables now have an "Audio Rate" option.
When doing high frequency modulations it may be more efficient to use audio rate modulation.
Modulation Monitor now also has an output jack so that the modulation signal can flow thru.
Removed an internal limitation that could lead to an "Automation/modulation overflow" alert.
Right-click record button => Context menu option now is instantly shortcuttable via Alt+S.
Toggle Record Events function now reports the new state.
When the metronome has been disconnected, there now is an auto-reset for it.
When deleting multiple sequences / samples / ... at once then the auto name index of the remaining one wasn't updated. Fixed.
MacOS: Ctrl + left-click to mimic a right-click was broken. Fixed.
Other mini improvements.

How to update MuLab:
Windows: Replace the current MuLab.exe and MuLab.ID by the new versions.
MacOS: Replace the current MuLab.app by the new version.

MUX Modular Plug-In 8.6.16 is available in http://www.mutools.com/mux/beta/

This update includes all improvements of MuLab 8.6.10 -> 8.6.16.

And also this: In MUX 8.6.9 the very first click in the editor was not handled. That has been fixed.

How to update MUX Plug-in:
Windows: Replace the current MUX DLL and ID files by the new versions. (4 files in total)
MacOS: Replace the MUX .VST file by the new version (assumes you already have installed the complete MUX 8 zip)

I found a small bug.
When selecting samples then name is visible in the properties window, but if you hoover mouse it will show wrong sample name in the tooltip.

Audio sequence editor: The sample name tooltip could be wrong. Fixed.
Transient detector: In some rare specific cases there could be a hang while analysing the transients. Fixed.

MacOS: Replace the current MuLab.app by the new version.
