Iris 2 is a neat plugin. The price is so low lately--I think it might have been a free add-on with some other cheap deal a bit ago. It takes some time to get something good out of it, but the spectrogram editing is pretty unique. It is a bit long in the tooth, and many have suggested it will not be developed by Izotope. But they just updated StutterEdit, so who knows. It is very much worth $10. There are a couple of great sound packs out there too, if you get the itch.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

For 10 $ absolute worth it. Great sound design tool. Just put in a wav and paint directly on the waveform. Great fun.

Yes, but mine doesn't, sadly. I bought the Elements to Artist upgrade from Sweetwater this morning. That worked fine but no sign of Pro anywhere on my account or licenses. I contacted support and the person I talked to said the Artist to Pro was only for full Artist. Can't speak for Steinberg, but that's just my experience. Personally I feel that if they say "All Cubase Artist versions" it should actually mean all Cubase Artist versions. That's just me though.elxsound wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 6:22 pmBut have you guys actually clicked on the links in your accounts?chk071 wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 3:43 pm Looks to me as if this only works when you buy the full version of Cubase Artist (no upgrade for an existing Cubase).
Even If you choose to upgrade to artist, the version that appears is Cubase Pro.

Also, there's the Reason Lite Rack Plugin free with any purchase at Plugin Boutique this month. Looks like it takes up a few gb of disk space (4 gb for installation, perhaps some of that is temporary), though I'd guess the drum samples for Redrum can be put on a secondary hard drive. Includes Monotone but not Thor or Europa.becseigy wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 7:38 pmFor 10 $ absolute worth it. Great sound design tool. Just put in a wav and paint directly on the waveform. Great fun.

The IK Multimedia deal worked for me. In my account from them, the following are also listed as downloadable, with licenses:
T-RackS 5 Custom Shop
Syntronik Free
AmpliTube Custom Shop
SampleTank 4 CS
Are these worth installing? Or are the teasers?

FYI:
The IK thing only worked for me after I went to the redeem window thru "MyAccount-UserArea".
When going directly to "MyProducts" it kept hanging endlessly like it was reported here.

Ah, I see... Yeah on their site, there's no other option except Cubase Pro, which seems to fall in line with their wording (along with your interpretation - mine too), so that's strange they won't honor it.randomtestsubject wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 7:59 pm

On the Steinberg website, if you follow from their promo page, where it says upgrades for existing Cubase owners, you can select the version you want to purchase, choose upgrade from and then choose the iterations/version you would upgrade from. The only options available are to upgrade to Cubase Pro. I've added Artist several times and it always changes to Pro.Vleker wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 8:18 pmI'm not sure what link you are referring toelxsound wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 6:22 pmBut have you guys actually clicked on the links in your accounts?chk071 wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 3:43 pm Looks to me as if this only works when you buy the full version of Cubase Artist (no upgrade for an existing Cubase).

I'm going to pass on it.
I don't need it and I rather spend money elsewhere.
If they post Wavelab up next month, I might go for that. I loved Wavelab and only moved on after their first Mac version was a buggy mess. Its been years since then, so hopefully they've got things in order.

I have in the past seen people say this can be done, just to confirm we are talking about upgrade not full version purchase and it will update to latest version (11 when it is released at end of year or shortly after) even though the purchase says 'upgrade to 10.5'?dzilizzi wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 6:06 pmBuy it now and hold on to it until 11 comes out. You will get a free upgrade to 11 then.Ploki wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 2:13 pmchaos318 wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 12:57 pm Save 40% on Cubase 10.5 and upgrades:

neat... I can upgrade my 7.5 license to cubase 10.5 for 120€ or nuendo 10 for 240€.
hm hm. should I?
Has someone done this successfully in the past?

There are some having issues with the redemption of AmpliTube Metal, most are resolved by opening a new tab/window and trying again. IT is looking into those cases. Otherwise, IK Support makes the following suggestions:
Sorry to hear of your troubles getting your free gift. We are more than happy to see how we can help here.
Please when you can, double check that you have signed up for the IK Multimedia newsletter.
https://www.ikmultimedia.com/newsletter/
Once confirmed, try using the link below to find the "Redeem" button to acquire your free AmpliTube Metal serial. This unlocks the serial in My Products to be authorized in AmpliTube 4 CS (Custom Shop) later. If you did not sign up for the newsletter, you must check the box before clicking "Sign up" to received your free gift.
https://www.ikmultimedia.com/userarea/
If you do not see your item unlock after you click redeem, try logging out and back into your IK Multimedia account. From here access the User Area to click redeem. For a full walk-through check out the video example

Roughly one month ago ,I picked up the Producer Bundle special from MF that included T Racks 3 Deluxe and Amplitude Metal. After going thru installations I found additional products in my IK account and set out installing. (The rest of this story is my fault because I've learned this lesson before but forgot). I wasted an entire Sunday afternoon trying to get IK products before I realized they just useless demos, not clearly marked that required massive downloads and weeding thru deceptive menus before seeing you only have one or two presets.
I will never buy an IK product again
..their practice if forcing a customer to download the entire product line to get one plugin is beyond crazy. I know you can subsequently delete the bs that is useless but making me get it; without a clear disclaimer is lame.

Anyone who has Nimbus and Phoenixverb care to comment on the difference?
There’s an upgrade option at the moment on plugin alliance for $29.
I love Phoenixverb so if there’s any significant differences I’d be easy to perused.

Just got Nimbus. What it has that Phoenixverb doesn't:
In the filter section: Input Frequency, Early Filt Freq, a button to switch between host tempo and a user tapped one (or enter numbers), and there are two more filter shapes and they additionally are given for Input Frequency and Early Filt Freq (instead of just for the "Out Frequency").
There is a "Trim" dial beneath Reverb Time, and there is a "Warp" button (must look into what this does, but it does make for a different sound sometimes).
On the right side, beneath the same five dials from Phoenixverb, there are three dials: RevDelay Time, Tail Suppress, and Tail Recovery.
Checking presets, there are a lot more for Nimbus, maybe double the amount for just the "Medium Hall" category. Nimbus has a preset category titled, "Phoenixverb," making it look like all the Phoenixverb presets are in Nimbus (I ain't counting).
So it's looking like you can tweak Nimbus more. Algorithm-wise, I don't know if there is a difference.

Oh more: in the Attack tab, there is a Plate 2 option (another algorithm it must be). And a few more dials in the other tabs--a bunch for Warp.
