i used valhalla vintage inside patchwork in pro tools 2020 today and there was a bug rendering patchwork completely useless for me.
feeding adlibs to the reverb, the reverb punched it from nothing, and ending completely abrupt, after the adlib was over with no tail. can this be sth to do with the "patchwork doesnt use any cpu when fed with silence" thing? cn this option be turned of?

It could be an issue with the idle feature, but I think it's more a problem with the Valhalla plug-ins not always reporting their tail size properly, as far as i can remember (if you use our internal reverb plug-in, do you have the same problem?)

Have you tried several plug-in formats for the Valhalla plug-in? Maybe they do not report things the same way in all plug-in formats.

The no CPU on idle option cannot be turned off. But since you are using Pro Tools, it will anyway do the same thing to the plug-in if the tail size is not properly reported. One way to avoid that is maybe to use the "PatchWork Synth" version, so that Pro Tools never deactivate it.
