I've had loads of requests for a snare module after Hats. It's definitely on my todo list. Unfortunately, that todo list is getting bigger than expecteddangayle wrote:I definitely like the dedicated VST per sound direction that things are going. I already have a few dedicated kick VSTs, but what I really want is a snare machine. I can never find the right snare.

if you're taking request i'd like a Snare Plugin
Synthesis for 808/909 and sampleback just like your clap and HH plugins
i think there are enough kick plugins out there

If your plugin is a Synth-edit/synth-maker creation, Say So.
If not Make a Mac version of your Plugins Please.

Sorry forgot all about my post. Anyway that thing looks interesting.audiothing wrote:Yes, a bigger sample-based drum machine which features a step sequencer + euclidean sequencer, round robin and several other features.Halonmusic wrote:Are you @audiothing going to make another drumsynth ?
Here's a very raw test of what works so far:

I might release a lighter version with just the Euclidean sequencer, as that project is getting bigger than expected (and basically evolved from a prototype of the euclidean sequencer that I was building), but I'm not sure yet. Right now I'm focusing on some updates, then I'll move back to new products.

I'd buy it in a second if it was half that price, but $50 for something that only does hats seems a bit steep.

Yep, when I released Hats and Hand Clapper I already had plans to do a dedicated Snare, also Kick and general percussion/mallet synth. The only problem is finding the time, as updates and other releases are getting very time consuming.realmarco wrote:if you're taking request i'd like a Snare Plugin

It's always hard to find a price that can please everybody.tshear23 wrote:I'd buy it in a second if it was half that price, but $50 for something that only does hats seems a bit steep.
If it's too cheap it could be perceived as lower quality. I might not even cover the expenses and amount time spent on it, which in turn leads to no updates or bug fixes, and essentially a dead product.
It's not always possible or easy, but I try to keep all our products updated with new features, content, and when necessary bug fixes.

I wish you would still support 32bit but as a developer that is your choice of course.

I know it's not ideal, but maintaining the 32bit builds was requiring too much time and causing too much stress.Halonmusic wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 1:03 pm I wish you would still support 32bit but as a developer that is your choice of course.
We started this process in 2018. Now, 2 years later, I don't regret the decision. We can develop, update, and test products faster and better.
Enjoy

I'm happy this thread resurfaced. I was thinking of looking for a VST for hats and I'm glad something as solid is actually out there. Will give this a try. Glad to see updates are still coming out.
Take care

Hi-hats are probably the one kind of drum hit that I would usually want round robin for if sampled. Makes a big different for machine gun effect. An 808 hat coming from the real machine or a synthesized emulation sounds much different to sampled hats with fast repeated patterns.
So it seems like the synthesized component of Hats is a pretty simple noise generator. Are any of the samples round robin?
And P.S. a Snare module that accurately captured the 808 and 909 with synthesis (plus other sampled classics) would be amazing. Nobody except Roland (in their Cloud version) have done the snares right for those two. I'd love a separate and accurate snare for those classic machines.
