Download Manager 1.0 won't install - Ubuntu

I was able to install Waveform 11.1.0 on my Ubuntu 19.10 box without any issues. However, the Download Manager 1.0.0 will not install after multiple attempts. It continues to show under available updates in the existing Download Manager.
When I launch the "tracktion_download_manager_v1.0.0.deb" file it does bring up the Ubuntu Installer. Pressing the green "Install" button asks for credentials and then almost instantly returns to the state it was originally in with the green install button. The progress bar did not show anything. Also, there was no red REMOVE button which is usually shown after installing a package.

I'm having the same issue. It seems to be a dependency problem. Here are the required packages : Depends: libasound2 (>= 1.0.16), libc6 (>= 2.14), libcurl3 (>= 7.16.2), libfreetype6 (>= 2.2.1), libgcc1 (>= 1:4.0), libglib2.0-0 (>= 2.35.
, libgtk-3-0 (>= 3.0.0), libstdc++6 (>= 5.2), libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37 (>= 2.15.1), libx11-6, libxext6
So it will be 1 of those causing the problem ( will just have to check which 1 )

I had the same problem on Ubuntu 20.04. Using apt-get on the command line suggested that libcurl3 was the missing dependency. I think Ubuntu replaced libcurl3 with libcurl4 in the 18.10 release, and the two are incompatible, so installing libcurl3 alongside is not possible.

I see the issue, will get this updated on Monday hopefully.
Is anybody still using 16.04? Or do you think it's safe to move to 18.04 as minimum requirement?

I just ran into this. 0.0.8 uses libcurl4, 1.0.0 uses libcurl3 and breaks everything

tried the dropbox version, no errors. surprisingly no dependancy on libcurl anymore.

Hmm... then what did I do wrong. I installed 1.0.1 over the existing 0.0.8. It installed fine but nothing would happen when launched. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times to no avail. Finally returned to 0.0.8

I tried uninstalling 0.0.8, rebooting, and reinstalling 1.0.1 and again I'm met with NOTHING. It's as though I didn't even click on the icon. Here is the terminal result.
scott@scott-Link:~$ tracktion-download-manager
scott@scott-Link:~$
No error messages, no UI.

By the way, the installer on my Tracktion account is still 1.0.0 so trying to download the individual installer doesn't help me either.

Just purchased Waveform. I'm getting the same issue the program installs fine but Tracktion Download Manager from the website won't even install and the one someone modified earlier in this thread DOES install but doesn't launch or anything =/ScottAxxe wrote: Tue Jul 07, 2020 1:52 am Hmm... then what did I do wrong.
