at some point, it will not matter (for me);

if i buy a new melda plugin all plugins get reinstalled. maybe because of the framework, it is necessary. but all programs, DAW's, audio editors, maschine, etc. must rescan every plugin.

(what do i mean at some point; for me it will not matter, i go for complete..)

and: the ability, not to install the vst2/vst3 32 bits versions. or a choice, 32 bits and/or 64 bits.

There are still 32-bit plugins being released? You can select vst2, vst3 and AAX in the Melda installer.

But, if I understand you, ya each DAW will scan for plugins after an update. You could always move the ones you don't need into a separate directory. That should speed loading times a bit and keep your plugin folder clean.

yes every new installed plugin, even it is the same one is rescanned.
but my DAW's don't scan the 32bits versions. the vst3/vst2 32 bits versions are in program files(x86).
i don't let them scan them (and some do it automatically, only 64 bit, but for instance bitwig and reaper can load 32 bit plugins).
but they are installed. it isn't much space.
i don't use AAX, that i can stop...
vst2 i need for maschine...

but reinstalling all plugins, for one new plugin.. as i said, maybe it is necessary, they share a "framework".

and i "need" all melda plugins, i like them close to me... so that ain't an option.

the scan is most of the times quite rapid, but wavelab pro is slow, like soundforge.
but with 6 DAW's, maschine 2.10.1 and 2 audio editors..
