Suggestions:
in Edit Source panel, Coarse and Fine tune can change the pitch of already playing note (helps with tuning)
under Modulations and general Edit panels, double clicking dials returns value to default position
copying and pasting entire sources (right click edit sources button for context menu)
Crazy stuff:
Legato mode and glide time
Insane lunacy:
Kawai K4

Lets hope it buk them up in to a new release of something (hire you and do some VSTs haha) they were always one of the most interesting developers.Nils Schneider wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 9:28 amThis guy actually caused me to develop the plugin I used his samples for the first tests.bungle wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 4:17 am Fairly sure you will have zero issues whatsoever, check this link

Kawai OKed the release of the samples for free by this guy, I doubt they would care in any difference between a ROM dump and recording the output to get the exact same data.
I'm in close contact with Kawai already. Got a reply from Kawai Europe, they are "excited and want to support me", they contacted Kawai Japan to clarify if the plugin is fine, he said that he doesn't expect issues. Waiting for a reply with a final confirmation.

Hate to loose ability to even try your plugin (I’m on MacOS) if they pull the plug on it
It happened before many times: Roland D-50, Propellerhed Rebirth 338 and so on...
Hope you can pull it through and get some well deserved financial reward as well

No update yet, but Kawai is not Roland! Kawai seems to be much more open in general while Roland is, well.... Can only speak for myself but I'm not going to "rent" plugins. And there isn't even x86 support.

Any progress situation, update for very impatient MacOS users?

That sounds promising, they might even hire you to create a K5 or K5000 emu. You showed your chops... Personally I would go for K5000. I owned a K5, but could only lust for a K5000, I bet I am not alone...Nils Schneider wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 9:28 am I'm in close contact with Kawai already. I compiled my code on a Mac but I don't have an AU interface ready yet so except some C++ libaries there is not much yet.
My initial idea was to finish VST3 first and then use the VST3 => AU wrapper of the VST SDK. But as Steinberg completely messed up MIDI in VST3 and imcreased the overall complexity I decided to do the AU implementation from scratch instead. This will take some time.

Well, regarding Mac support. I've got a compiled version of a 64 bit Mac VST here but I cannot test it as I'm not allowed to install software on that Mac that doesn't come from the App Store. Due to the development environment being too new, compiling a 32 bits version is not possible either. So the version I have here is 64 bits only.
Is that something that is usable for the Mac world? And is there anyone willing to test this? It's a zip file that I could send to some people to give me feedback.
I badly need my own Mac....

I'll happily give it a try... I would actually prefer a VST (Bitwig being my main host), but no problem to test AU in Logic or Mainstage...Nils Schneider wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 6:55 pm Well, regarding Mac support.
