Loop recording - create empty clip and loop record

Hello! Is there an easy way to do the following please:

1- create a blank clip for a given number of bars using the mouse
2- loop this clip while punching in notes with the mouse

• use the time line on top pf w11 to set the loop length by double clicking and hold mouse 1 and drag the brackets
• activate loop by hotkey or button in the menu
• drag the red clip icon from the right corner to a track
• choose midi clip
• select the track, and enlarge it by hiting „z“ or by dragging down the lower track border
• enter midi notes
