Make sure that you are really in user mode (USER 2) before you make a mapping otherwise you will overwrite the controller function. You can check that in the mapping sidebar in Bitwig and also delete it if it happened accidently.melodyz wrote: Sat Jul 18, 2020 11:24 pm sorry one more thing that happened after i assign the mod wheel from the legend plugin to the fire user knob 2 first knob. I lost control of the volume parameter on the mixer option for volume knob. it has only happened once so far.

Sorry, didn't get that. Are you saying the colors are mixed up or the is there a problem with the functionality?moss wrote: Mon Jul 20, 2020 9:44 am Also when switching the controller transport option Flip arranger and clip record/automation. Or vice versa is there a way to record the automation into the clip area? I think the manual lists it backwards. The red record and automation button should go to the arranger timeline. While the just override button will record automation to the clip. shift plus record should enable the orange clip launcher automation button for clip recording. page 187 of bitwig manual.

My understanding is that Scripts Transport settings Flip arranger and clip record ON (arranger) means pressing shift plus record enables the following: Red record button and red automation. This is for the arranger timeline.
Flip arranger and clip record OFF means for clip recording. For clip view shift plus record should engage the orange overdub and orange automation. I think only the overdub is enabled. Can we get the orange automation button to activate as well? This way realtime automation will record with the individual clips not the arranger view.
Im thinking the actual ON OFF is also backwards for what you mean it it to do or its not clear what ON means and what OFF means.
Thanks for your help

Ill try to capture the fire error Im having in a video. All I do know is that changing the scales and root note on a dif instrument track does something crazy after drums are laid down. Try it with a different drum plugin not drum machine and see. I use XO drums.
I did successfully recreate the issue. Simply take a vst like the legend or something use the step sequencer and put some notes in and then switch scales and root and so forth and 4th intervals. then go back to the sequencer and the notes are gone.
I then checked out my drum track same thing notes are gone when midi clips/tracks lose focus after switching scales. It keeps happening.
Just read your notes on the scales being global not per track that must be the issue. Thanks for your patience. Too bad its not per track or the drums are not affected oh well.

Is it possible to switch between your Script an the integrated Sequencer in the LP Pro MK3 without unloading the Driven By Moss Script?

@Moss
First, thanks for the update.
When auto-arm is not selected in Bitwig preferences and if I just change the page of the Push (session mode), the selected track also switches.
Same when a scene is launched, the page changes automatically.
Let's say I am playing with the paramaters of a device on track 10, and I launch a scene with a green arrow : a new track is then selected in the first eight tracks, the display changes and so my performance is lost !
I really wonder why the Push couldn't stay focused on the armed or selected track, in Device Mode, because it can do it : when in Session : shift/choose a pad on the upper left.
And in Note view (with the option Select clip/scene on launch in Bitwig preferences).
So the only solution, when I choose a track, is ABSOLUTELY not to forget to select a clip first before playing with device parameters, even if a clip is already playing. And if I can't re-launch the clip (long strings chord for instance), I have to first Select/Choose a clip, so the focus is kept. Sorry but it's very annoying, especially if you play a keyboard with the other hand.
Other (little) problem : The manual says : Press “Session” to enter Session mode. Keep button pressed to switch back to Note mode on release.
It'doesn't work on my Push 2.
Thanks for reading me.

Ok, I understand the idea. Well thought !moss wrote: Sat Jul 11, 2020 3:07 pmThat is intended. If you select a selected track again you "dive into" it. If it is a group you enter the group if it is only a track you go down to the devices. From there you enter either layers or parameters.
But the problem is not only with auto-arm.I am afraid this is how auto rec arm works.

HI I fixed the Drum sequencer pitch controls on the akai fire! After loading a drum machine preset, then each pad's sample is a sampler device loaded. Each pads sampler has to have the Keytracking turned ON and set to 100% for it to respond to pitch per step controller in the midi data. (by default this is off) Then holding down each step and turning select knob will modify the pitch as intended
Now I think its like the Octatrack! Yes

the only problem I found now is that steps with modified micro pitch information will not delete from the fire. A message popped up in Bitwig Fire did something wrong Parameter X must be in the range of 0 -15. Disable or restart buttons.
Heres the video showing after entering the steps I cannot delete them from the fire display although it does seem the steps delete from the midi file that is playing

Ok I got this working by placing the FX on the pads sampler FX. BUt I have to select Mixer not channel. Channel always saying select a channel no matter what and turning knobs wont do anything. However I cannot remove the FX entirely its there a little or a lot but never off. (completely dry)moss wrote: Sat Jul 18, 2020 12:35 pmYou already can do that:melodyz wrote: Fri Jul 17, 2020 11:01 pm hi heres a feature request - can we using the return fx on drum machine to apply a delay for example on only hats etc?
Select the CHANNEL mode. This controls now the drum cell which belongs to the selected row (the one with the green lit LED). FILTER and RESONANCE control Send 1/2. Use all 4 knobs in combination with ALT for Send 3-6.

If you want to stick to a track there is also the option to pin it (Keep Select button pressed and select "Pin Track").Invisble Man wrote: Tue Jul 21, 2020 10:38 am But the problem is not only with auto-arm.

There is also a setting in the configuration dialog:
Session -> "Select clip/scene on launch"
This prevents selecting the clip/scene which you start in the session, maybe that is what you are after.
That works but only for clips, guess it makes sense for scenes as well. Will add that.Invisble Man wrote: Tue Jul 21, 2020 10:38 am Other (little) problem : The manual says : Press “Session” to enter Session mode. Keep button pressed to switch back to Note mode on release.

I can reproduce the error with the transpose but so far no idea what is going on. Needs some in-depth analysis...melodyz wrote: Tue Jul 21, 2020 2:50 pm the only problem I found now is that steps with modified micro pitch information will not delete from the fire. To make work what I wrote above, you need to have the Bitwig drum machine on the channel and it must be the first instrument device on the channel.melodyz wrote: Tue Jul 21, 2020 3:10 pmOk I got this working by placing the FX on the pads sampler FX.
