I like would like to have the option for the Multiparameter sliders to physically snap to the nearest value. This would only apply to parameters that have a limited amount of values or have "steps" enabled. The slider animation has full range of motion yet the actual values snap which seems odd. The animation of the slider should snap too, it would make sense if the animation "stepped" accordingly. Having this reflect onto the VST3 side of automation would be great too. So an option to turn snapping on would be nice. Maybe it should only apply when you have steps enabled.
Please take a look at the gif that i have provided.

The track above has a plugin that snaps when using automation. On the track at the bottom, I have MXXX automating the Modulation sync rate, snapping does not occur which i believe it should.
Also, when automating a Multiparameter on VST3, the default snap value is always set at 50%. It would be nice if the default snap would reflect the default value chosen in the Multiparameters settings. When using automation on regular VST3 Melda plugins, the default value snap is always set to the default value of the parameter. It just doesn't apply to Multiparameters for some reason.
Edit: i tried to explain my request more clearly.

I'm not sure I understand - the target you mentioned does snap from one value to the next. Or would you like the automation envelope curve in the DAW to snap to the values?
This might help: for the Multiparameter, have a look at Banks mode / non-interpolated. Or at Normal mode with the number of Steps (set to 15 in your case).

Steps
Steps lets you create an arbitrary number of equi-distant steps for the multiparameter values. While this technically limits the possibilities of the multiparameter by limiting the number of accessible values, it is sometimes easier to choose from a predefined number of options than from the full range. If you want to use different ranges between the steps, use the Banks mode with Interpolate values disabled.

I posted a gif in the original post, i would like it to snap in my DAW when using automation. Melda does not take advantage of the VST3 automation snapping. Also, the multiparameter slider within the plugin does not actually physically "snap" too, the value does but the actual slider does not. It moves freely which seems odd.DarkStar wrote: Fri Jul 10, 2020 11:49 am I'm not sure I understand - the target you mentioned does snap from one value to the next. I think what you see there is a plugin, which has limited number of values. That's a very different thing imho. You can ask Steinberg to do that, but I doubt they will to be honest. It's a very specific thing.
