3rd track from my upcoming CD "Mad Scientist"
This one pretty much shows my compositional range as it's pretty all over the place.
Failed Experiment
A little of this a little of that
Mix it up good before it goes flat
Then say your prayers that all will go well
Because if it don't it all goes to hell
Failed experiment
Back to the drawing board
Failed experiment
Praying to the Lord
You thought you had it right
But it's vanished in the night
Failed experiment
I can't accept what you are
I read all the books I followed the rules
I made sure I had all the right tools
I carefully planned it down to the wire
But now my lab is engulfed in fire
Repeat Chorus
Instrumental Break
Repeat Chorus
Outro

I thought it was the East West Hollywood gals thing. Nothing earth-shattering, though I sent you another private message. With the Facebook group thing, is the radio show we might get played on internet only, or what is it? Is it a real life old fashion radio station? Does it have a name?

Honestly Aaron, I have no idea. The whole thing is a mystery to me. All I know is that all these songs are supposed to be played on this radio show last Saturday and then repeated this Friday. That's all the info I have. Hopefully, AJ or whoever he is will respond to my email and I'll get more info then.aaron aardvark wrote: Wed Jul 29, 2020 2:04 am I thought it was the East West Hollywood gals thing. I think the first show will be aired on Sunday, Aug 2.

The third song sounds like it mixes some orchestral stuff, and The Logical Song or Steely Dan.
Many paid and free VSTs as well as Kontakt libraries. As well as HW synths/drum machine and acoustic instruments.

Hi Wagtunes, hope you are well.
When you have some time, would you mind giving a listen to my latest peaktime house/electro song/s (please)? There's 2 songs not quite finished yet, but i'd like an opinion at this stage before i take it further. I predict that you won't have any problem listening to these songs. I will be listening to your mad scientist project when i have some time.

Liked it!
"Failed experiment
I can't accept what you are"... like the chord at the end of the 2nd line "you are". Very nice.
Good guitar at end.

Thanks. Turning out to be one of the more difficult CD's I've attempted to do. This is starting to morph into a rock opera and trying to keep the story continuity is proving to be a real challenge.Bansaw wrote: Wed Jul 29, 2020 11:33 pm Liked it!

Try continuing the story by creating a successful female experiment one to right the wrong the scientist did, only to find out that both the scientist and frankienstein (failed experiment) have both fallen in love with her (love triangle).wagtunes wrote: Thu Jul 30, 2020 12:08 amThanks. That would probably come towards the end of the CD. Filling up everything in between is what's going to be a challenge. I'm only a quarter of the way through after I post song 4 shortly.Mikelo wrote: Thu Jul 30, 2020 5:11 amTry continuing the story by creating a successful female experiment one to right the wrong the scientist did, only to find out that both the scientist and frankienstein (failed experiment) have both fallen in love with her (love triangle).wagtunes wrote: Thu Jul 30, 2020 12:08 amThanks. Mmm... How about between the ending and current story, the scientist has a physiological break down.
He doesn't know if he is doing right from wrong.
He also needs parts to further his experiments. You can add a little jack the ripper to the story.

I guess that could work. We'll see where it goes.Mikelo wrote: Thu Jul 30, 2020 10:25 am Mmm... How about between the ending and current story, the scientist has a physiological break down.
