4th track from my upcoming CD "Mad Scientist"

This one is kind of like 3 mini songs ala side 2 Abbey Road. The end of this was totally improvised.

I Need To Try Again

I need to try again

After all my failures
It's easy to give in
But I am not a quitter
Cause that would be a sin

So I'll get back on that horse
And give it all I've got
Create the grand elixir
Cause a quiiter I am not

I need to try again
Because failure's not an option
Not a course for me
Not my path to walk
Success is what I see
I need to try again
Because it's the only thing I know
So leave me to my work
It's time for you all to go

I like the flute/theremin. Rock opera vibes for sure.
Many paid and free VSTs as well as Kontakt libraries. As well as HW synths/drum machine and acoustic instruments.

That flute and backing synth is actually a Mellotron. IMO, best one out there made by GForce.

Okay, I've mapped out and written the whole story from beginning to end.

These will be the 16 tracks of this CD.

Mad Scientist
In The Lab
Failed Experiment
I Need To Try Again
It's In The Science
The Light At The End Of The Tunnel
My Creation
Run Amok
The Search Is On
Back To The Drawing Board
A New Solution
A Partner For Her
The Union Of Souls
Too Perfect To Be True
To Dust In The End
Mad Scientist Finale

So yeah, it's a freakin very strange Broadway play.

5th track from my upcoming CD "Mad Scientist"

Another one from column A, one from column B and one from column C. I'm waiting to see if I can combine Reggae, Polka and Death Metal into one song.

It's In The Science

Must find the secret
I know it's somewhere
It might be hiding
Though it would not dare

It can't escape me
No matter how hard
I'll hunt it down cold
No matter how far

Where will I find it
It's in the science
I do not mind it
It's in the science

There'll be no failure
Oh no not this time
Success will be here
Success will be mine

All that I need now
Is one last compound
I'll wait here all day
Until it is found

I like the Asian sounding instruments at the start and around 2:06. What kind of instruments are those?

Also, I’d love to see a mix of reggae, polka, and death metal.

You know, the reggae beat was one that I could never wrap my head around. I guess you just have to have a feel for it.

I did a reggae basis for a couple of things. I called on a guy to do the rhythm guitar and the one where it prevails is far better for it.
it's not reggae music, mind.

"That's right, it's the same verse again."

I could totally see one of the songs having indo pop elements
Like these

Maybe these could be more keroncong, especially the second one.

Lyrics dont have to rhyme all the time, its an easy get out and excessive use comes across as cheesy, especially when the lyrical subject is weak.

Of course its not so easy if youre not a native speaker.

6th track from my upcoming CD "Mad Scientist"

Probably the most "normal" track of the whole CD so far.

The Light At The End Of The Tunnel

It may be dark in this lab
But that doesn't mean I can't see
I have wisdom
I have vision
I have everything that I need

I may have worked years and years
That doesn't mean I won't succeed
I have wisdom
I have vision
I have everything that I need

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel
I can see the light at the end of the day
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel
Good things are gonna come my way

Things haven't gone too well
But that doesn't mean it's all bad
I will fight on
Obstacles gone
Nothing's gonna make me sad

Repeat Chorus

My creation will come to be
You all just wait and see

Reminds me of Talking Heads and Depeche Mode. There might be some Kraftwerk, Devo, and YMO in there too.
