I used the coupon yesterday, so it might have been because it was already used. I just managed to fall asleep before I got around replying to this thread about having used it, sorryepiphanius wrote: Fri Jul 31, 2020 7:38 pm It was kind of you to offer the Kilohearts coupon: I got the error 'criterion not met'. No biggie, just letting us know here: I'm not sure what criterion was required.
Thanks in any case -

I always look forward to midnight Eastern on the first of each month because Uncle E posts the first new deals of the month. I hope he's doing alright.
If every KVR member wrote one review a year we'd have 1340 reviews each day!

Rhythmic Robot has been hacked. They were having a sale I think. I've also put this up on the sampler/sample forum.
So don't attempt to buy from them over the next few days.
Got this email
"Dear Friend of Rhythmic Robot,
Important: please read the whole email
Over the past week our site has been hacked – here's what you need to know
Last weekend, we started having what we thought were technical issues with our website (we sent you a mailshot about these). It now turns out that the site was the victim of a very aggressive, persistent hacker. We closed the site down and are now in the process of migrating it from our existing web servers to a much more secure hosting platform which will, we sincerely hope, prevent this kind of thing ever happening again.
But meanwhile, the hacker has cloned our site and is operating it with the slightly-altered URL spelling of "rhythmicsrobot.com" – with an "s" in the middle. We're also aware that he is sending out fake invoice emails trying to get customers to pay him. We are in the process of trying to get this site closed down by its hosting provider.
It's very important that you know the following:
Your financial details are safe. Financial details (credit card numbers etc) are NEVER stored with us: all payments on our site are handled throughPayPal's highly-secure servers. So whatever method of payment you've used to pay with us in the past, is safe.
Your email address was stored on our site, and I'm really sorry to say we have to assume the hacker has access to that. The worst that can come from this, I would think, is the kind of phishing scam that he's attempting by sending out fake invoices: many of these will be caught automatically if your email program has a spam setting, but...
...If you get ANY invoice email that seems to come from us, IGNORE IT COMPLETELY and just delete it. In general, please be vigilant about emails that claim to come from Rhythmic Robot but which don't look like our usual "house style". Please check any links in emails before clicking on them.
Do not try to buy anything from the site at the moment. Or any site that looks like us. We'll send you a proper announcement once things are completely resolved and safe.
We are in the process of alerting the necessary authorities of this data breach.
Finally, we are determined to get this sorted; and the moment it is, we'll get in touch with one of these typically-colourful mailshots to let you know.
We apologise sincerely for this. We have engaged an excellent team of specialists to take charge of resolving the matter and hosting the site for us: we're not leaving this up to Mongo, we've got the pros in.
Thank you for your support and for your patience, and again, we're deeply sorry that this has happened.
Best wishes,
The Professor (and Mongo)"
