Wordpress changed the password creation procedure one or two major versions ago.

I'm not sure if the first version(s) of Wordpress salted the hash, but every version I've seen has done so. However, what isn't guaranteed is that they will be regularly re-salted, so it is possible that some sites will have lower entropy in the hash than is desirable.

They did do a limited Black Friday sale on some products in 2018 after releasing K12 a couple of months earlier. Looking at my email archive it may just have been the Symphony stuff that was on sale.

The sales are independent of Komplete release cycles. Summer sales are dedicated for sales on bundle and product updates and upgrades. Winter sales are for individual products.

Komplete bundle (full version) itself never goes on a sale. The only bundle sales are updates and upgrades.
