Well these are very different things
. Anyways Soothe is indeed a very very specific version of MSpectralDynamics apparently and Melodyne, well, you can use the free MAutoPitch, but it's not that good imho.

When you say 'the free MAutoPitch', do you mean the free version specifically? Are you happy with the quality of the full version?!

There is only one version of MAutoPitch and that's the one in the MFreeFXBundle.stripealipe wrote: Sun Jun 07, 2020 6:48 pm When you say 'the free MAutoPitch', do you mean the free version specifically? Are you happy with the quality of the full version?!
If you pay the upgrade price for MFreeFXBundle you get the following features:
You can change size and style of the plugins.
You can access the sonogram feature in the analyzers and equalizers.
You can manipulate (save, load, organise) your own presets.
You can access the modulators.
Most plugins can perform upsampling which minimizes aliasing, therefore it is useful to improve sound quality.
The plugins will not display the big red reminder box with our clickable logo at the bottom of every GUI.

I have Melodyne Studio 5, Antares Auto-Tune, Waves Realtime Tune, and MAutoPitch.MeldaProduction wrote: Wed Apr 08, 2020 10:15 pm...and Melodyne, well, you can use the free MAutoPitch, but it's not that good imho.
Nothing can touch Melodyne results, but its an editor, not a plug-n-play tightener.
Waves Realtime is great for using in a live setting or to tighten things up on a track because it has zero latency. But results < Melodyne.
Antares is both a realtime tightener and an editor. Works great if you want a single product to do both, but results < Melodyne for editing imo, and about the same as Waves Realtime for live.
I tried MAutoPitch since I purchased the bundle to get the wonderful MCCGenerator, and was surprised that MAP wasn't that bad for tightening up the pitch of a fairly good track. It hung in there with Anteres and Waves as far as results go.
But the only way to fix a bad track is by using an editor, meaning Melodyne or Antares. And trying to use any plug-n-play tuner to fix a bad track isn't going to work without serious artifacts.
So for me, MAP is not bad at all for slapping on a fairly good track just to tighten it up a bit. But since it has a lot of latency, can't use it live.... Given my stable of tuners I won't be using it myself, but for the budget constrained, its actually decent imo as long as you have the right expectations.

Thanks for the feedback! Indeed the pitch shifting algo in Melodyne is great. In most cases it doesn't matter, but there's a certain detail - the phase somehow deteriorates over the time with our pitch shifting. I wish I had time to play with it more... perhaps some day. There's definitely a room for improvement, but it takes time, damn time..

Soothe does only one thing, but that fast and for me in a good way, if not used exxagerated, but way too pricey. Mspectraldynamics can do it maybe too, but I don´t get it in the same ballpark as Soothe and not as fast. Hoping for the MSpectraldynamicsLE with a good alternative active preset for Soothe.
