If you have an interface with enough outputs AND you really don't want to switch to Ableton (which has Link, which allows you to use your iPhone or iPad as an external clock) or don't want to spend that much money, then I can suggest an Expert Sleepers USAMO.

It took me 2 hours to get it dialed in and working. It is indeed a finnicky thing, but, once set up, has been good. Now I can set the bpm in Tracktion, and have MIDI out to my OB-6 play perfectly, and then Thru to my SE-02, which then triggers via CV my Erica Synths Acidbox 3. All in sync (it can take a second, as the OB-6 seeks tempo on every change, like a new preset, or a changed bpm, etc.).

Only one issue so far: for some reason using Loop causes USAMO to go crazy and add anywhere from 6 to 80 to the tempo. Turn Loop off, and it's rock solid. I'll contact Expert Sleepers to see what (little) they say.

I'm using it with a Clarett4pre and a balanced cable. Purchased a 9v power supply. In tracktion, I have to use a Volume plugin at +6 to get the signal hot enough.

If I had more hardware, supposedly a Kenton MIDI Thru box is the way to go. Or, a fancier setup from Expert Sleepers.
