Isn't Drumkit From Hell 2 the same kind of thing?

Not even close.Isn't Drumkit From Hell 2 the same kind of thing?
They might have similar sounds but BDF is all about the interface.
It is a very intuitive "instrument" not just a big sample library.
Another important point is that BDF has hard drive streaming DFH does not.
If you do a complex track with DFH using all possibilities and mic bleedings you need something like 3Gig of RAM to achieve it.

Definitely, I do not know viable alternative SW to BFD in its overall capabilities.flanneljammies wrote:Well alright then...

To experienced users:
1. How to connect multiple outs from VSTi (BFD All 17 ch) to sound card outputs via racks?
2. Is it possible to do submixes via rack (let say 17 ch of BFD all to be submixed to 4 stereo pairs before output)? This is not so important, just interesting.
3. How to get rid of ghost notes that emerged after heavy editing on drums MIDI track and reside in track (not plays on particular position, but remain invisible in MIDI editor)?
Thanks in advance.

Route the outputs to various tracks, and those tracks to your audio outs.Rock President wrote:To experienced users:

It is, but it is inelegant.2. Is it possible to do submixes via rack (let say 17 ch of BFD all to be submixed to 4 stereo pairs before output)? This is not so important, just interesting.
There is a 'delete all content beyond start and end of clip' option in the clips properties.3. How to get rid of ghost notes that emerged after heavy editing on drums MIDI track and reside in track (not plays on particular position, but remain invisible in MIDI editor)?

Thanks valley, but
Murphy's Law
What's funniest today Tracktion crashed just once on same critical song that yesterday caused crashes every 5 minutes. Wierd and unpredictable. But when works it is FANTASTIC.
JULES God damn it, do something with this thing.

When I put BFD to rack I can see 17 (correct) outputs from BFD. But how to route exactly. There are 2 defined outputs in rack (I can easily make virtual route for these 2 outputs to audio card). But should I add just 8 racks (each for two channels out) to BFD All MIDI track? Or any better way?

This works.Great.

dump bfd on a track by itself.
Right click on it and select "wrap this filter in a rack"
A choose "yes" to autowire.
Copy the rack on to as many tracks as you want audio outs, and for each of these tracks select the rack, and choose the rack outputs you want this track to receive.

D'you think it might be an idea to get in touch with FxPansion seeing as it only happens when you use BFD? Or would that be too obvious?Rock President wrote:

Thanks valley, seems I found some way to do it multichannel.
chico.co.uk: it is OK to defend T from your side, assuming that it works correctly with your applications. In same time, same BFD that works correctly in 3 other hosts (Cubase- b.s. otherwise, Samplitude and Sequoia) becomes unpredictable in same computer and T as host (I thing it highly depends on weather conditions, as yesterdays it rejected to crash !).
Also, if one application does not work enough well in host, it is not reason to criticize the host in general. Yes, but only in case if that one application is not Big Fuc.ing Drums. 'nough said.
Good day to all
